We had the good fortune of connecting with April Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi April, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
My work life balance have changed tremendously for the better. Before opening my own business I I was in the Corporate America world with very off schedules with no flexibility. But now I’m able to spend more quality time with my family with more flexibility.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a Mompreneur who applied what I learned within the 10+ Years in corporate America to my personal key elements of experience, success, and business ventures. I was born and raised in Miami Fl. One day I aimed to be a entrepreneur. I decided to become my own boss and build generational wealth for my family. But, just didn’t know where to begin. I met my Fiance in 2014. We both shared the same passion, goals, & dreams. Together we became unstoppable. I relocated with my family from Florida to Atlanta Georgia in 2017. I was able to build multiple successful business entities accompanied by my Fiance. I enjoy sharing knowledge with others and I’m very passionate about what I do for a living. I’m proud to mention that I am a Franchise owner of Reliable Cleaning Solutions and an Independent Box truck owner operator of Reliable Solutions Transportation. With multiple business startups in the process. I Strive to continue aspiring others by speaking on my experience as a Entrepreneur. When I first started this journey it wasn’t easy because as I mentioned before I relocated to a New State with no support besides my Fiancé. However, my drive was always beast mode because I knew I had children depending on me. Starting up my cleaning franchise was a bit challenging because I worked a 9-5 and I was doing the cleaning full time as well. Fast forward I thought to myself it’s time to start working smarter not harder. So I was able to hire a team to do the cleaning. Then that lead me to opening another business which was the Trucking. Joining this industry has been very rewarding financially. However, when I first got started there were times I wanted to give up. I was new to the game and people were taken advantage of me causing me to almost lose my business. But God had other plans. I learned that success comes with ups and downs but you have to stay the process. As long as you don’t let your negative outweigh your positive you are on the right track. Today I’m a business coach I have helped many open their businesses in this industry. I will continue to be a difference in todays world and I know that in the near future I will be a millionaire.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely recommend some brunch spots like Toast on Lenox, Nana’s Chicken and Waffles, and Breakfast at Barney’s. Those are my favorite go to spots. It’s always a great vibe & the atmosphere is always relaxing and fun. I would also recommend Botanicle Gardens and Skyview Atlanta for sight seeing & a beautiful view. You can’t go wrong! And as far as hanging out I will recommend Atlantis. They have hookahs, greats drinks, great music, & great food.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My fiancé deserves a lot of recognition in my story.
