We had the good fortune of connecting with Antonio Baldwin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antonio, how do you think about risk?
A risk is situation involving exposure to possible danger. A lot of people think That when taking risk, you have something to lose when in fact, a Fail, or a mistake is needed for growth. People don’t realize, you take risk every day! Stepping outside is a risk, driving a car is a risk, so if you’re doing it every day, why not take a risk that is worth it! I live for taking these leaps of faith, simply because I become a better person with each jump (Even if I jumped and landed in the same spot). With the content I deliver, I’m not sure who would like it, who would share it, etc., All I know is that out of all these people, one person will smile. One of the biggest risks I have took was releasing my very first video. Simply because it was “out of the norm” for me. Since then, I have realized how IMPOTANT it is to take risk and shoot for the moon, and if you don’t make it, you’ll at least be among the stars!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My Art is expressed through music and video. I started this journey of expressing my art with an old video camera that was given to me at a young age, with this camera I made Music videos of me lip syncing popular songs and editing it with the dinosaur “Windows Movie maker”. Little did I know These videos became the building blocks that make up the TonyTalks Tower today! The content I create now spreads light on self-love, self-awareness, embarrassing the weird, crazy you! Getting to this point was not easy, simply due to facing a lot of rejection, Hate, and uncomfortableness. I realized I had a habit of skipping all the love comments to find the hate ones, and it would do nothing but stop the progression of the next video. I was poorly programmed to use the hate as a guideline for what to do next. Though this journey I have learned that there is more love in the world then hate, it just takes the right eyes to see it, which is one of the main building blocks of my brand! My brand will Forever inspire, show the world how powerful it is to simply be you!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Surprisingly enough, my version of a great Day in Atlanta starts with a morning at Piedmont Park drinking mimosas (some sweet wine of course) However, I wouldn’t want to stay in the same spot for too long because of the blood sucking hawks called mosquitos that roam the area. After my short stay at the park, I Tend to find my way to Fellinis. The best Place in Atlanta to get Pizza (So they say). I’ll spend an hour or so there, then head over to the beautiful Krog Street Tunnel to simply walk and admire the Art of that creatives like myself show on the walls of the tunnel. After this Adventure, it would be a priority to stop buy Little Five points, which is like one of Atlanta’s hippest neighborhoods. This area offers unique sights of Atlanta life, and seems like you see new stuff every day! From Indie stores for offbeat vintage clothing, vinyl and cool gifts, To Street performances starring Atlanta Locals!! At this point of the day, I am Tired! So, it’s only right to go home and re-charge! Once the sun falls, My Re-charge is complete and it’s time for my final adventure…Andretti. Andretti Is an Indoor Go-kart, Gaming, and bowling experience! With so much to do here, I’ll be here for what feels like 3 days. They offer over-priced food, as well as expensive Laser tag (you won’t find me anywhere near those offers). This will conclude my Atlanta Experience, after all this, I most likely would be sleep for the next 3 days!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
For the recent growth of my brand, the shout out goes to a VARIETY of individuals. I owe Thanks for the physical, financial, mental and spiritual growth that these individuals have helped me obtain. Starting with God himself! No introduction needed, Then OfCourse to my family, Boyfriend and close friends for helping this Crazy journey of self-doubt and plain stress sail smoothly. I have a few main shout outs, I can’t pin point just one person without showing love for the rest. Dhakirah Darrell, Duane Dixon, Patrick Ladonis, Kelly Young Silva, Chino Strings. These names in particular (along with others) Has played a HUGE part in my growth in all aspects, From Dhakirah, Patrick, And Chino lifting me up during hard times, To Kelly, And Duane, giving me opportunities and platforms to showcase what I can do! I owe Thanks to all these individuals and Seek the day I can build enough to give back!
