We had the good fortune of connecting with Antonette Currie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antonette, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business helps the community or the world by bringing forth knowledge on products that will not only help people physically but mentally as well. When you heal mentally then you can physically.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others is that this comes straight from the heart. I have a story from living with Lupus to overcoming the illness and while in my journey of healing myself, I am also assisting others in their journey to a healthier lifestyle. Live. Love. Juice enlightens new health through vitamins and minerals sourced from sea moss (Irish moss). With the sea moss gel, you can mix into smoothies, teas, food and as a face mask. We also provide herbal blends + natural goodies such as burdock root, bladderwrack, sea moss & bladderwrack, etc. It wasn’t a smooth road starting out, many challenges but where I am now from where I was has been beautiful and it can only get better from here. I overcame these challenges by these few little steps that I took along the way, which were to gain clarity, understanding my purpose, focus on my audience, staying focused on my mission and being BOLD by believing in myself and knowing in my heart that what I have to offer will change the world. The lessons that I have learned along the way is to be patient and never be to hard on yourself. Everything happens when and how it’s supposed to. Stay focused and grounded, believe in yourself and to always plant your seeds and watch it grow. I want people to know that despite any illness, or situation, you can overcome it and continue to live the life that you want to live while being a blessing to others.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
If my best friend was coming in town for the weekend, I would probably introduce her to some vegan/ vegetarian spots so that she could try something new. Go to local small businesses and see what they have. I like to visit Little Five Points and Ponce City Market because they have cool little shops and eateries. The botanical garden is always a good spot. I don’t club so we would definitely have to go to a nice bar or lounge for happy hour lol like the restaurants Fellaship by Peters st. and CO on North Highland. Those are both very nice chill spots.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely have to give a Shoutout to my friend of many years, Tierra Burrell ( @tierragoesgreen). She has helped me on my health journey to betterment by shining her light on me. Some times it takes that one person that sees the power in you and she believed in me enough to start a business that would help others on their health journey. Forever grateful for her!
