We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy Headrick and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amy, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe the most important factor is customer service. Not only providing a great experience, but also making the guest feel like part of the family. As a guest in a business if you feel comfortable, valued, and cared for you (usually) will be loyal to that business and recommend that business to everyone you know. We want to offer the guest a great tasting product, but more importantly a great experience.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I actually had a career change when coming to Hoschton Coffee Company. I have always been great with customers/guests. I had to learn the whole coffee industry. It was a lot to remember, and practice. I hired team members who had Barista experience to make the learning process easier. I have learned to trust your instinct when making decisions, it usually will not steer you wrong. I want everyone to know the we value quality and experience.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our town is very small, so options are limited (unless it is fall festival weekend). I would start by taking them to get a coffee, then visit the few boutiques we have in town, (Wilsons Home Décor and the Vintage Peach). Then we would probably get lunch at the local pizza restaurant (Sliced).
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank the owners of Hoschton Coffee Company, without them we would not be here. Also, I would like to thank my team, they are all amazing! Without my great team we would not be where we are today.
