We had the good fortune of connecting with Alpha Hugo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alpha, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
To always keep it business, meaning never allow personal issues to affect my end goal. Always think logical and never make emotional or rational decisions when it comes to business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is that I aim to create music geared towards bettering and saving lives.

Music has saved my life and I am most proud to be able to give back by paying it forward to my listeners.

I got to where I am today professionally by believing that my music must touch the hearts of my listeners, the music I create captivates each listener based on their lifestyle. It wasn’t easy, my greatest adversity was deciding which genre of music I would choose to accelerate my career. I was able to overcome this adversity by taking advice from those who had my best interest at heart.

I’ve learned that relationships are one of the keys to success and it’s rare that you will find genuine people who believes in you and your dreams just as much as you do.

I want the world to know that I’m not just an artist, think of me as a good friend that truly cares and genuinely appreciates the love and support they give. My next two upcoming singles are “Fresh Prince” releasing August 19th, followed by “Royal Family” which features Derez Deshon and was inspired by the circumstances people face in life, “Royal Family” gives listeners a deep dive into real life struggles, whether it’s past or present and reminds them that we are Kings and Queens.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Once I pick them from the Atlanta Airport we would stop and grab some barbecue at Hattie Marie’s. Then later hit up Ponce City Market and likely push up at the studio.

I enjoy the Sugar factory, they really make some good drinks. I find comfort in shopping, so Lennox mall is my go to.

A late night go cart race at Andretti with a few shot of brown takes the edge off.

We spend time at Truist Park and the Braves stadium for some cool vibes.

Gourmet food at the silver spot while watching a movie then later go to the shooting range.

We will definitely enjoy a few card games like Spade with the home team.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I would like to thank GOD, then the American Cancer Society, I am a cancer survivor within their community. I want others who have been diagnosed with cancer to know that they don’t have to face it alone, there is support and if you are willing to put up the fight, then you too can overcome your circumstances. Last but not least, I would like to thank my entire team and Brick Money Records for believing in me and trusting the process.
