We had the good fortune of connecting with Aizen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aizen, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What makes me happy is being around people that genuinely care and love me. Working on things that I enjoy and sharing that with the world but happiness is fleeting, so I live with contentment. I do and make decisions that lead me to the best outcome for me and if things work well, then great. If they don’t well that’s fine too.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is a small representation of my life and strong influences from my love for anime and similar media. I’ve known since a child that I loved music. I watched and heard my father sing in passing growing up and realized that music was also in me. Gaining an audience that loves what you do is not easy especially when being an artist comes a dime a dozen. Thankful that people resonated with my style and lyrical content. One of if not the first Anime R&B pop artists.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
honestly I’m a country boy through and through so I’d actually take them out of the city and into the mountains. I love to hike and bike so anything with a gorgeous view of a tree filled skyline and large bodies of water will do it. As far as food goes, I love everything from soul food to KBBQ. I don’ have a favorite restaurant other than Chubby Cattle, I love that place.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to the Vibe Society, the ones that listen to the music and have supported me on this journey. Shoutout everyone that’s helped me or pushed me into my calling as an artist. My mom and pops for allowing me to be expressive growing up. DTO for being a real one and always holding me down. Thank you to my friend Keenen for the opportunity to share my light, my homie Kris for being an amazing friend when I need support and encouragement. Thank you to those Artist who’ve came before me, you’ve been inspirational and a road map for development and success.
