We had the good fortune of connecting with Aimee Moyet and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aimee, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
I’m a Christian girl so this question is easy but complicated. When you’re aligned with God’s Will for your life, no matter what the process throws at you, you will feel peace. I didn’t say it would be easy but difficulties doesn’t mean to give up it just means you’re almost there. If you don’t feel peace in the process and feel as if you’re pushing yourself to do something or be someone for others…STOP and Reset. Give God some quiet time and you will surely find your answers to why something isn’t working or even gain a different perspective.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a case manager for a small law firm in North Atlanta. Before this job, I never worked in case management position ever. The way I fell into this position was a blessing. I was working as a secretary in a medical office in Stockbridge when a co worker asked if I would want to work for her husband’s law firm as a secretary. At that time I was looking for another job, so I accepted her offer. After about 7 months of being in the front office position, I was promoted to case management. At that time, about 2 weeks into my new position, our office was mandated to work from home due to the pandemic. This was a Challenge for me because I was still learning and training in my new role. Since this was my new reality, I accepted the help via phone and zoom from my boss and a co-worker to excel in my new position. I know some people either have to go to school for a position like mines or even have experience prior to, to land one and I am blessed to know God trusted me to start something completely new, different and challenging in the start and in the middle of a pandemic.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Me and my husband LOVE exploring the city so I have a lot of favorites. Let’s start with brunch at Café Intermezzo-mid town location.
Now let’s go to Piedmont Park and get on the Birds Scooter’s and ride through the park.
Now let’s head to the Atlanta Botanical Garden see the greatness of garden they have.
We can go to PuttShack and play Golf with a twist.
By now it’s lunchtime so depending on what you’re in the mood for, but I’m always in the mood for tacos so let’s do Bar Taco!
Let’s grab some drinks at Biltong Bar.
Let’s do some Axe Throwing at Bury The Hatchet.
Let’s go to the Trap Museum and see the art of Trap Music.
And let’s do dinner at Jinya Ramen Bar.
And that’s just a few things!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
