Meet Trey Triplicate | Music Producer & DJ

We had the good fortune of connecting with Trey Triplicate and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trey, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
This is an easy question to answer, because it is a trick question. The answer is to never give up. No matter what metric you judge your success by, the ultimate failure point is to quit doing something and never attempt it again. That means you have truly failed.
Technically you make yourself immune to failure, by never giving up. Having the willpower to continue, no matter the odds means you are a success in my book.
Everything worth doing, is worth doing to the best of your ability. If you take the time to clearly define your goals, and make a plan to get there step by step, you create milestones along the way to give your brain’s reward pathways those little juicy spikes of dopamine, and that can help keep you motivated.. Planning for the end result to be the only milestone is setting yourself up for disappointment. Everything from creating a brand, to running a business by yourself involves learning dozens of skills along the way…Each time you reach a milestone by learning a new skill is a success within itself.. By the time you get to your main goal, you will have achieved so much along the way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Right now, the world needs art. It needs self-expression. It needs us to be who we are and not forget that communication through self expression is the thing that makes us special as humans. Well…I have seen some birds do it with feathers I think. But not the extent that can as humans. No disrespect to the birds.
When self-expression falls to the wayside, we become a toxic conglomerate of echo-chambered opinions and hyperbolic statements. You can look all over the world and see that when self-expression is minimized, the individual becomes unimportant. Conformity is so effective in controlling others because it extinguishes the spark of the individual. When you lose that spark, you become dull, and malleable by negativity.
Standing out in this world and truly setting yourself apart is all in the mentality that you carry with you day in and day out.
For me, every single morning, the instant I open my eyes, my first thought is about what I am going to create today. I hang onto that feeling, and I do not let it go until I go to sleep.. And then, it becomes thinking about what I can accomplish tomorrow. There are so many terrible, negative things in the world that we feel powerless to do anything about.. I think that charging yourself with positivity and drive to accomplish things will motivate others to do the same, and continue to spread.
I think if more people knew that their dreams were actually reachable, it would make a gigantic difference. So often we fall in line with the belief that only a few special chosen few get to be happy in life, that it becomes so much easier to blanket yourself in being a victim of circumstance. Hope is a very human thing. It gives us the ability to keep striving even when we fall. I wish more people would keep trying when they fall.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would suggest above all else, if you are in Atlanta, and you want to have an amazing experience, you should go to Glam 104 in Duluth.. Amazing food, amazing drinks, pure aura farming atmosphere…you can have watch parties for the world cup, or major sporting event if that is your thing… but the fully featured nightclub/music venue is where I have the most fun! These guys are quickly becoming a critical hub for Atlanta’s best music acts. I have a headlining appearance there Friday 6/19/26, but you can also find me hanging around on one of their open deck nights (currently tues and thurs) Check them out @Glam104ATL on instagram, or their website Glam104.com
It is also worth mentioning that if you are reading this, reach out to District Atlanta, and Pisces and tell them you want to see Trey Triplicate!
And while you are on your way to any of those spots, the perfect soundtrack for the ride is Electric Radio UK. You can catch my two-hour set there every third Saturday of the month at 3 PM EST (8 PM UK). If you miss the live show, you can always catch the replay at any time on their website https://thisiselectric.co.uk/ or their soundcloud.
Registration is free, and registering allows you to follow and interact with the various DJ’s in the line up in real time!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My support system of family, and friends has been critical in keeping me motivated to achieve everything I have accomplished, and to refuse to see anything as impossible.. I am also motivated to continue my path so that one day my kids think I am cool. You are the only one who can achieve your dreams. Surround yourself with those who celebrate your success
