Clarisse Frazier | Owner, Shock Fitness Studio
The most valuable lesson business ownership has taught me is the importance of hiring/recruiting with great intention. When selecting individuals to be a member of your team, you have to consider their purpose, their passion and their practices. If you want to succeed, you must have these critical conversations before aligning all individuals with your business mission and vision. Read more>>
Luis Felipe Esteves Mameri | Cinematographer & Entrepreneur
The most significant lesson I’ve learned in my professional journey is this: success ultimately depends on you. No piece of equipment, no colleague, and no circumstance can replace the simple truth that you must show up for yourself every day. It starts with a shift in mindset. The most important lesson my business has taught me is the power of perseverance and discipline. I told them I was most proud of my hand embroidery work because for me, it allows me to share who I am. I get to be creative, I get to teach, and I get to spend time quietly practicing a centuries old art. Read more>>
Ivie Reed | Permanent Jewelry Artist
Wow, this is a big one for me. The most important lesson my business has taught me is the value of trusting myself and standing up for what I believe in. Building Sun & Moon Permanent Jewelry has shown me that no one else will advocate for me the way I can for myself. It’s pushed me to make decisions with confidence, trust my instincts, and step into my own power. This lesson hasn’t just shaped my business—it’s transformed my personal life, helping me become more confident and authentic in everything I do. Read more>>
Tonya Morgan-moore | Creative/Author
The most important lesson my business/career has taught me is the critical value of building strong, authentic relationships with clients and/or colleagues. Trust and open communication are the foundation for long-term success; it’s not just about the product or service I am providing, but the genuine connections I build with people. I’ve learned that this isn’t just a business for me, but it is ministry. Read more>>
