Hi Travis, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe risk should be taking to expand your mind and get you out of your comfort zone. You have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable is part of what’s required to grow so if people don’t experience that feeling at all, they’re probably stagnating. This is where risk plays a part in changing your life.

Taking risks, don’t matter the outcome, has changed my life dramatically. Stepping out on faith and actually trying something I have never done before put me in a position to meet new people and learn from new experiences. I took a risk on starting a new business in a time of a pandemic in which it is uncertain and it was the best decision I made. This risk brought me ownership, discipline, patience, leadership, and dedication. Risk brings value, something money cannot buy.

What should our readers know about your business?
Pure Precision Logistics is a freight brokerage company that focuses on building and connecting quality people with quality service through our transportation services. We want to bridge the gap between motor carriers and shippers who need their cargo delivered.

I actually started off as an owner-operator of a trucking company and after the pandemic really ramped up, I decided to switch over to being a freight broker with my business partner Joe. With us being owner-operators of trucking companies, we saw firsthand how freight brokers were being unfair with the freight rates they were given truck drivers (motor carriers). We saw the disconnect between carriers, shippers, and brokers in the freight industry. From there, we were inspired to change the game in the freight industry and make it an even playing field for all parties involved in the transportation process.

The process to this path starting out was not easy, but it was all worth it once the grind started paying off. I continue to educate myself on the freight industry as well as building relationships with people who are seasoned in this industry. Many challenges arise with being told “No” by multiple shippers who you would like to acquire their business to transport their freight. It took months starting out to acquire a customer, but then we started getting “Yes” from customers, everything started rolling from there. This journey has taught me patients, persistence, faith, and to believe in myself and brand.

Pure Precision Logistics is a brand that is going to change the transportation industry in due time. We stand on our principles of integrity, honesty, and service which we intend to bring to the freight industry.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m from Charleston, SC about 4 hours from Atlanta and I have been visiting Atlanta since I was young. It’s a lot to do in the city and things have changed throughout the years. It really just depends on the person and the time of year. We would go shopping first at one of the various malls and get something to eat. I’m more of a foodie so I would take them to Slutty Vegan, Twisted Soul, Bankhead Seafood, Blaze Steak and Seafood, etc. Depending on the time of year, we can hit up one of the games or festivals going on throughout the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My first Shoutout goes to the creator and the Most High!!! Without him taking me through this spiritual journey called life I wouldn’t be here today. I would like to shoutout my wife Bre’ana who supports me through it all and who has helped me build throughout the years….forever solid!!! I would like to shoutout my mama, daddy, brothers, and the rest of my family and friends. You all gave me the foundation and kept me rooted. Shoutout to my business partners Joe and Shelby, I’m forever thankful. You all keep me pushing.
