We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Paige Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Morgan Paige, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking defenitly got me where I am today. I took the biggest risk when I quit staying in my comfort zone and quit everything I know to follow my dreams. I moved out to Colombia alone to help me get closer to my dream/career of becoming and international superstar. I stopped going to school, I quit my job, and I also sold my car. My dream and goal has always been singing/music/acting/ dancing/ creating content/ making videos/ etc. I am an entertainer. If I would have never made that leap to follow my dreams and take the risk of losing everything, I wouldn’t be where I am in my career today and I wouldn’t have my platform. I want to change the world with my voice/platform and I will change the world with my voice/platform
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
At the end of 2018, I decided to quit everything I knew, including my job and college to move to Colombia (yes, the Country lol) and chase my dreams. This dream was to basically be an international Superstar. I love to sing, act, and create content. I have always loved the Spanish culture, people, and Spanish music so that is why I moved to Colombia. In the states, I was bored, lost, and I couldn’t help but feel like I was missing something in my life. My escape from my reality was learning Spanish and creating videos/funny content for my Instagram. In my videos, I am known as “La Gringa.” I speak Spanish and English in my videos. After months of making videos and getting positive feedback and more and more followers on Instagram, I decided to make a Youtube. This year I am really trying to put out music. That has always been the over all goal. I want to really focus on reggaeton music. I am absolutely full of love and gratitude for those who have supported me along my journey. I want to continue using my platform and voice to influence people to follow their hearts and ALWAYS chase their dreams.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I would take them out in the city. I love the night life scene. As long as theirs good music and good vibes… Im there.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out to Fabio Legarda. He was my best friends brother who passed away last year. He was and is still a huge inspiration for the world and was the prime example of what an angel was. He was a big inspiration for me and really believed in me. He was the first one to put me in the studio again and he was also the first person who told me they believed in me after a really long time of not hearing it, I was at such a bad place in my life and he was the first person who had told me I could do music and really be someone in the entertainment industry, He was one of the main of the reasons why me and my best friend (his sister) moved to Colombia the first time. I just want to say thank you to him and send him love up there. We miss you and love you Fab.
