We had the good fortune of connecting with Carita Fambro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carita, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Having worked in various industries in Corporate America, I always felt unfulfilled. Being at home full time with my daughter allowed time to invest into my hobby! What started out as just that, a hobby, slowly turned into a full time business. I’d always had a desire to work in a creative space and accepted that if I wanted it to flourish, I needed to do the work! Connecting with successful creatives helped to see the vision more clear and now I’m on the path to continue to grow my business!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a food blogger, photographer, recipe developer and content creator. As a lover of all things food and entertainment, I am able to share my gift by sharing love and stories through the dishes I create. Recipes have unique stories, and whether they are new or old and rich in tradition, it is how I connect and share my gift. My creations stem from a hybrid of quick and easy meals, fun twists on traditional foods and utilizing whole ingredients and fun pairings that are a joy to create and eat! My hope is to convert the non cook into becoming an inspired home chef!

I am most proud of the beginning of my path. I spent a lot of years overthinking what success and living my dream would look like. After a small nudge from my husband, I finally took the leap and started doing the work. I didn’t have the best equipment or tools then but had found passion and was ready to overcame my fear of failing. It was during this part of the journey, that I learned I never needed the perfect foundation to get started but just needed to start and trust the process once I was I was in motion. My setup was very basic; a small kitchen in Seattle, an iphone and a basic website! There soon after, Seasoned To Taste took flight and the rest is history!

Now, almost two years later I have created ways to monetize my business, continuing to improve my skills and partner with brands!

My hope is that when you visit my blog or find me through social media, you’re not only inspired to cook but to set out on your own path of following whatever dream you have deferred, it’s never too late!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is a good question, considering I moved back to Atlanta last December after living on the west coast for over five years. There’s nothing like the south (especially the foodie scene in Atlanta) and I can’t wait to get out and explore. For now, I have my eye on several new restaurants, visiting Dekalb Farmers Market and unwinding and disconnecting for a bit at Chateau Elan or Barnsley Resort.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s so many creatives I’ve connected with, who have validated my craft and provided insight that has given my path wings. If I were to dedicate this to someone, there’s not just one who’s sewed a seed into this dream. Shoutout to my husband for pushing me beyond my comfort zone, knowing my weaknesses and encouraging me to grow. My faithful foodie friends Tamara (Razzle Dazzle Life) and Taneisha (The Seasoned Skillet) for pushing me beyond my fears and assisting with a realistic plan to succeed. And Allison Mathis Jones for connecting me with you all to share my story in the hopes of inspiring others!
