We had the good fortune of connecting with La’Trez Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi La’Trez, what role has risk played in your life or career?
You have to take risks! I believe that in life, you have to go for what you know, you know? Often, a lot of people take risks, but we will never know simply because that’s all they did, took the risk. What I mean is that sometimes people tend to not follow through. In my opinion, risk taking comes in two parts, actually taking the risk and then, following through. You have to make an end goal to that risk and stick to it throughout. That will be the only way that you will make progress in the life you want to live. As for me, I’m learning everyday and I’m at the place now where it’s like, I’m on the ledge but I haven’t took that leap yet. I will, I have to.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I always keep this one saying in my mind, “nothing good comes easy”. Once you realize that and live by it, you can grow in more ways that you think possible.

The one thing that I believe sets me apart from others is the fact that I am going to make it happen! Once I set my mind out to do something, I just do it, and keep going. Nothing and no one is going to stop me from Getting where I want to be in life. This is also how I got to where I am today. See, along with talent you need determination. Once you fully grasp that, the world opens up to you with numerous unbelievable opportunities. And no, being determined all of the time isn’t always easy. There are plenty of times that I’d like to give up on some of the things that I’m doing, but once I think about that end goal, giving up isn’t really worth it. Nothing good comes easy, ever.

I’ve started up a lot of things as of late and I plan to keep them going. Along with my acting career and growing photography business, since we last met I’ve have jump started a YouTube channel with a couple of my friends. Its called Since You’re Listening and I am very proud of the direction that the channel is going and the way it’s growing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
You know something, I can tell that I have matured a bit. The old me would have definitely went to a club and partied or something of that nature. However, I’d enjoy going to relax at a spa, then going out for dinner and maybe even an amusement park. I’m very simple. And being that I have my hands in so many pots nowadays, I enjoy the very little moments that I get to simply sit in my living room on my sofa and just fall asleep without a care in the world.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Let me start by saying that I will always give credit to Lisa Ferguson (Gordon state College) for always pushing me to be greater and giving me the many opportunities that I’ve gotten from her. I don’t think I’d be as far as I am Today if I didn’t get that push from her. Thankyou Lisa.

I’d like to thank all of my family for supporting me throughout. My mom, grandma, and uncle has never missed a show since I started years back. Their support for what I do is endless and I’ll always appreciate and love them for it.

There is so many people that I could shoutout but I will keep it short. Thanks to you all. Where would I be if it were not
