We had the good fortune of connecting with Sheri Strzelecki and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sheri, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Work-Life Balance to me is really all about the ebb & flow. I don’t believe that work-life balance actually exists, but instead it’s about how we set our intention & priorities that truly affects this concept in our lives. For me, living my life with intention & purpose became my driving force to discover what work-life balance looked like for me. I began to explore where I was spending the majority of my time and where I was physically, mentally & emotionally. I discovered the areas that didn’t feel in alignment with who I wanted to be as an individual, parent & business woman. So, I made adjustments. I got very specific with when & how I manage my days. I decide what presence looks like in my work & personal life & I consciously choose how I show up. I say all of this with the caveat that of course there are moments that my attention gets pulled elsewhere, but that’s why it’s an ebb & flow.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Life Coach & Intuitive Mentor helping individuals connect to their inner wisdom, develop self-trust & an unwavering faith to create the life that they desire & deserve. I use various mind~body modalities from mindfulness meditation, energy healing, thought work & spiritual coaching to support my clients in their self-discovery journey.

Where I am in my business today is a testament to the conscious decision I made to follow the calling of my heart, even when I didn’t fully know what that meant or looked like for me. It was scary! I quit everything about my life as I knew it & began again. So, it definitely wasn’t an easy decision, a lot of self-doubt, insecurity, worrying about what others thought & how I was affecting those that I loved the most, my family.

I live by the mantra I am You, You are Me. So, how I overcame the challenges was continuously doing my own personal work, surrounding myself with others doing the same, asking for support when I needed it & let’s be honest, a lot of tears, journaling, grace & praying.

One of the greatest lessons I have learned is that there is no “Right” way. I stopped seeking outside of myself so much for the answers & started inquiring within first. I developed my own self-trust practices so that I could make decisions with clarity that felt in alignment with my heart. I also learned that I don’t need others permission to be who I am which was a big growth pain that I had to go through to understand, but so worth it.

Here’s my truth, I am a woman, wife, mom, sister & friend who is in the continuous process of learning to know, accept, and love myself on all levels, Mind, Body, and Soul. I focus on my personal growth and self awareness. I experience life with the intention of peace, love, joy, passion, and fun. I understand that I have an unlimited capacity to create the life that my heart & soul desires and I believe that YOU can too! My business is built on this foundation & always through the lens of LOVE. For me, it’s simple LOVE is the ripple that I want to create & leave in the world.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love living in Woodstock, so of course I would have to start in our downtown. We would begin at my favorite spot to relax Salon & Spa Vanessa for a girls day, then we’d walk through some of the boutiques making sure to stop by Wanderess Collections & Spirited, we’d grab a coffee from Copper Coin or maybe even a margarita from Pure. I’d make sure to take her to Daily Draft to have some yummy bacon, we’d take a walk on noonday trail & let the kids play at the new playground. We’d have dinner at Century House & finish with a trip to the Ice Cream shop.

I would take her to the Blue Ridge Mountains so that we could hike, kayak, & then hang in the little mountain town or rent a cabin.

I’d take her to Atlanta, we’d go to Ponce City Market, Dekalb Farmers Market, the Aquarium, & the Beltline.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I couldn’t do any of this without my husband, Keith. He has been my number 1 supporter in all of my endeavors. He has never questioned my decisions, always helped me wherever I needed it whether it was with the kids or my marketing ideas. He doesn’t always understand what I am creating, but he believes in me even when I question whether or not it’s the right thing. He does all of this while working crazy hours himself & supporting our 3 kids in their sport activities. It’s been a journey together, 20+ years in fact, but an adventure that I wouldn’t want to take with anyone else. We recognize that this isn’t just something that I am creating, but that we are co-creating together in order to live the life that we both desire for ourselves & our family. So, my heart shouts out to my amazing husband, thank you for always seeing me through the lens of love & possibility! I LOVE YOU KEITH!!!
