We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Kraus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Habits I feel have helped me succeed are writing everything down, making sure I manage my time correctly! Having a schedule and making sure I know what I need to do and when has really helped me, if I do not have it written down then I am less likely to do it because I will forget.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I cherish my photography so much! It brought me so joy and happiness! I am most proud of all the growth I have experienced and the progress I have made. I do not have the nicest camera out there but I make it work and make the most of my knowledge and I love to learn new things and keep learning so I always know new things.

Getting to where I am now was not easy. I have had to manage to be a full-time student while also running a business and being in a sorority and still having a social life as well. I have had to learn how to manage my time really well and figure my priorities.

Building a business is not easy but it is a very rewarding process!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of my all-time favorite locations is Arabia Mountain it is located in Lithonia, Georgia. it is a small mountain that has a beautiful view of the sunset, so I would definitely take them there! For a nice dinner I would take them to 1885 Grill it is located in Acworth, Ga. It is a nice restaurant with amazing food. I would also take them around Atlanta so they can see the city and experience the city. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Brooke Jefferson of Brooke Janae Photography has been a wonderful mentor for me and my business. She really cares about helping others succeed and making their business a success and something they can really be proud of!
