We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaamilya Najeeullah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaamilya, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always been driven by a passion for servicing others. I combined that passion with my love for feeling luxurious and mental repose daily, et Totally Amazballz was born. With every second entrusted, our primary goal is to take into consideration the needs of the customers before, during and after each purchase. Consumers deserve more than just a good quality product. Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Once I graduated from high school I had no idea what I wanted to do. It took six years and after working at Zoo Atlanta. I decided to become a Veterinary Technician. So I moved to Pittsburg Pennsylvania to attend Vet Tech Institute. I struggled to make ends meet and even had to donate blood plasma. I graduated in 2007 with an Associates Degree and on the Principal’s List. I also won an award for “Most Outstanding Alumni” out of three graduating classes. I moved back to Atlanta, and became licensed in my field. Now as a Registered Veterinary Technician, 10 years later and no way to elevate. I decided to go back to school. It took me six years to obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Georgia State University. It was an extremely hard process. By the last year of college I had to move back home because I was paying tuition out of pocket and could no longer afford to support myself. But, I could never get over the fact that I would once again be working under or for someone else. So, after graduating in the summer of 2018. I applied for a business license just three months later. Totally Amazballz bath and body was born. My road to becoming a business owner has definitely been a challenge, but it is well worth the effort. I learned that as long as I stay determined and dedicated to win I could achieve greatness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First, we would definitely attend a Falcons game. I love football and Roddy White is my favorite player. During the day we could eat hearty or vegan at R J Thomas on Peachtree Street or West Egg on Howell Mill. I like to which things up a bit. In the evenings we’d go to Top Golf on Ellsworth or Andretti’s in Marietta. Fun! Fun! Fun! I’m a fan of tattoos, so maybe a stroll through Little Five Points while eating pizza from the Vortex would be on the itinerary. Dinner at Ponce City Market or at the Sun Dial, fancy I know. Visiting the Aquarium is a must, along with the World of Coke and the History Museum. We could visit all of them on the same day, as they are located in close proximity to each other. And to burn those calories off a nice walk on the Westside BeltLine, the serene views are breathtaking. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Attributed to the value of earnestly caring for and loving others fostered in me by my Mother, Father and 4 older siblings: They are always very encouraging. Not only do they help market Totally Amazballz, they are personal testers of the products. I have surrounded myself with family and friends that gives me inspirational pep talks and keep me focused.
