We had the good fortune of connecting with Aman, Wahaj, and Danish and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aman, Wahaj, and Danish, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
The first thing to know when encountering this situation is that you can’t have a defeatist attitude otherwise giving up will always seem like the easiest option. When you’re deciding between these two options you have to ask yourself a few questions: Have I used all my resources to overcome this challenge? Have I tried looking at it from a different perspective? Am I just waiting on someone else to come solve it? If you can walk away from the situation with full confidence after answering these questions, then it is absolutely permissible and valid to walk away. However, if there’s even the slightest bit of hesitancy or you know for a fact that a better version of yourself lies across the overcoming of this challenge, then it is imperative for you to continue to seek that better version of yourself. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy, and that happens to the best of people. Some tips that have helped us is to take the subjectivity and emotion out of the equation and make it just a task to complete. You don’t have to complete all of it once, but even 20% completion of a task is better than 0%. You’ll find yourself naturally inclined to finish the remainder of the task or overcome the challenge as you progress into it.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our respective professional pursuits within the financial, medical device, and clinical sectors have challenged us to grow as individuals and professionals in many aspects. In our opinion, the aspect that sets us apart is our continued desire to pursue knowledge first. The pursuit of industry knowledge and desire to develop new skills make us a competitive force within our respective field, but also translates perfectly into our growth as a photography business. Throughout our professional life and photography business, the challenges we encountered were not small by any means. We’ve overcome multiple logistics and business development issues that delayed our timeline of success. However, we remain positive through challenges as we are all natural problem solvers in our professional roles and look forward to resolving the issues. We have been fortunate enough to have a wonderful team founded on friendship first that differentiates us from other partnerships and businesses. We value and respect each other, so there is always someone willing to make the necessary sacrifice to support the business if another teammate has other responsibilities to address. We truly embody the adage that “teamwork makes the dream work”. It’s this sole aspect of our business that we really want to convey to the world – we’re a team of friends first who love to see each other develop and excel and using that as the basis for a business has proven to be a huge success for us.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a week-long adventure in Atlanta, the first stop would definitely have to be the Coca-Cola Factory and the Aquarium. These two places are extremely popular tourist spots but also an amazing time for people of all ages. Then, we would have to take a trip through the cultural hubs of Atlanta – think Krog Street Tunnel, ATL underground, all the five points savoriness. A trip to Atlantic Station is another must as well as grabbing a picture on the famous Jackson Street bridge. Along with these, exploring Ponce City Market and riding a scooter or bike through the beltline is also a must. All tourists definitely have to schedule a trip through Centennial and Piedmont Park to enjoy a nature-filled day. The end of the vacation requires a visit to Stone Mountain for a pleasant hike or a ride on the skylift, the end of which will be capped off by the famous firework and historical show. Top places to eat throughout the city definitely comes down to this list which by no means could ever be comprehensive because of all the amazing food available in Atlanta: Vortex and Varsity for an enjoyable burger experience, Mary Mac’s for proper southern comfort food, Eclipse de Luna for amazing tapas, a trip to Zinburger for amazing craft burgers and delicious milkshakes, Ponko for amazing chicken tenders with a Japanese twist, Zyka for flavorful indian cuisine, Rumi’s Kitchen for persian, Jinya for all the ramen goodness, grabbing a late night slice at any of the Fellini’s locations, or some late night cookies at Insomnia or donuts at Sublime Donuts.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our recognition first and foremost extends to our family members who always encourage us to achieve beyond our own understanding of success. They are our constant motivators and the people for whom we develop ourselves, so that we may give back to them in spades – whether it’s with our skillset or our combined efforts with our personnage. The extra credit also belongs to the group of best friends we have who are constant support systems and judges for areas of improvement. Their unbiased feedback allows us to adapt and evaluate ourselves fairly to see where we need to continue to improve and how to drive our business towards fulfilling a market desire.
