We had the good fortune of connecting with Devonta Ravizee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Devonta, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I always think about the goal more than the risks. I make sure that whatever I’m doing in business and life is so essential to fulfilling my purpose that the risks won’t matter.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I make hip hop music that strategically depicts many different aspects of life and culture. I love to rap about actual events and stories from my life and those close to me. I give the good with the bad in order to inspire other people. I believe it was grace, patience, and dedication that helped me achieve the things I have. Things were definitely not easy, I think the moment, the emotion and tension in situations make them hard, but I had to learn how to focus on the objectives and because feelings are subjective. I want the world to know that God is good. That we are all leaders, learners, movers, shakers, and we were all created for a purpose. If you weren’t supposed to be here then you wouldn’t have made it out of the womb.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ooooooh man (shakes head and rubs hands) lol… Ok Bet! First we gotta hit up Artic Rush on the Eastside and grab some Sweet treats and a Icee. Head down to 48th street and hop the card table, shoot dice or whatever with the bros. Hit a couple lounges, all the spots where I’m from got the best wings, music, and all that so we just do a toss up and choose one. Then we head up town, over to Red Mountain and zip line through the city, hit a couple breweries and try the different brews native to where we from. And at the end, we can take the brews with us on a hot air balloon ride, and see the whole city from the sky, it’s a magnificent view fam!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to thanks my parents. They were both 14 and 15 years old when they had me. With that alone, present incredible challenges, but through it all they raised me to be who I am today.
