Meet Chris Smith | Recording Artist & Radio Personality

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, how do you think about risk?
I look at risk by weighing the pros and cons of the situation at hand. If I feel like I could gain more than I could possibly lose, then im going to take a educated risk. Risks has played a major role in my life by allowing me to be able to reach new heights I never knew I was capable of even reaching, whether it be me taking a risk to try new things life wise, or try new marketing routes with my career, life is full of risk, what is life if you don’t take them? You miss 100% of the shots you Don’t shoot.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is me, I am art. What sets my creativity apart from Others is the passion and enthusiasm I put into all of my work. When you hear a project from me you aren’t hearing A microwaved product, your hearing Time, Pain, Hard work, dedication, and a lifelong line of obstacles In everything I put out, making it more relatable and intimate with all of my listeners. What I am most proud of right now is my recently released first Album titled “Truth Be Told” it was a very intimate body of work of mine I’ve held for awhile now and now that it’s released it gives me more of a driving feeling to keep releasing Well thought out bodies of work. Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy at all, It took almost everything Iv’e had to even get this far, im still on a journey with many obstacles but I’ve learned that it’s the process that I enjoy. It’s the process that makes me respect the road im on and the hardships I do face, it’s all for a reason. I’ve learned that I can’t satisfy everybody, everybody isn’t in your best benefit, you can’t expect people to have the same drive as you and you definitely can’t manifest ANYTHING with no work behind it. Just isn’t possible. I want the world to know that there are still pure people out there who still seeks purity from others, I am one. Genuine as can be but only as genuine as the ones around will allow, meaning I want the world to know that I plan on making my brand the Bridge to change the game for the better, bring genuiness back, bringing the importance of actual talent, messages, soul and everything above. Everbody isn’t just here for the money!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well if I had a best friend visiting my area I would definitely take them to the downtown atlanta area near little five points. There’s numerous of bars down there with great scenery and food that can accompany a fruitful conversation. Along with some of the finest wine to relax, after sometime of enjoying that, we are definitely enjoying the views of the entire five points area, which showcases different art pieces, clothing shops and just the culture in general!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
