We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Linden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, what matters most to you?
People always remember how you made them feel. I pride myself on making the customer experience top tier when you shop with FashionLoLa Boutique. I believe the more positive someone feels about their experience with you the more they will continue to shop with you.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I worked in retail for 11 years. I got to the point where I couldn’t take the mall another day. I was so drained and I would always say, girl you did not get a degree for this. Although I made good money, I did not feel like I was successful. I got my MBA in 2019 and the day I walked across the stage I received the out i’d be waiting for. I transitioned into corporate America. Now don’t get me wrong this isn’t glamorous either but it gave me the flexibility to start my business. It also opened a financial door that allowed me to really invest in myself. Getting my foot in the door opened a huge opportunity for me. In the middle of a pandemic I moved to another State. I got a new job with better pay and I was closer to my vendors. It was tough moving far away from everything and everyone I know but I believe that God lined this up perfectly for me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Breakfast At Barney’s – The best food ever! I went two days in a row. High Museum Hawks Game The Ferris Wheel Spice House- The Rum Punch will have you lit! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The people closest to me helped me be the person I am today. My fiancé casually came up with the name of my business one day in conversation. My friends and family show so much support whether it be through a purchase or spreading the word about my boutique. I am truly grateful for them.
