We had the good fortune of connecting with Darius Walls and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Darius, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I come from a lineage of entrepreneurs and artist. My grandfather really was the first person to spark my interest in art. He is a welder and his craftsmanship is a work of art. Somehow watching him as I grew up transferred over into graphic design.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a logo designer that creates customized art for businesses. I specialize in cartoon logo development my goal is to set your brand apart from your competition by creating eye catching logo designs to express the soul of your business. It’s a tough road I’m constantly fighting with myself daily to improve as an artist. Being on Instagram and trying not to compare work but to be inspired and keep creating content. It takes will power, confidence and A LOT OF PRAYER
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Krog street would be our first stop. The graffiti art and murals alone are a good attractions to get pictures for the gram. From there we can hit Moreland Ave Lil 5 points area grab a burger at the vortex or grind house. As far a drinks we would start at one of my favorite coffee spot and then end with a drink during the evening. Afterwords Peter Street station to meet some of the most creative individuals in Atlanta. It’s soo many things to do in Atlanta from Stone Mountain to the belt line so it’ll be eventful for sure hanging with me. I believe all people are interesting we all come from different backgrounds and vibrate on different levels. I feel like I learn something everyday just from a random conversation. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well first off is like to thank God for guiding me through the process and blessing me with the talent. All of my friends and family that has supported me and was real and let me know when I wasn’t going all in. Shoutout to JayToon on Instagram. I saw his Jay-z piece and It sparked my love for art all over again.
