Meet Audreyonna Sequale: Content Creator, Mindset Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Audreyonna Sequale and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Audreyonna Sequale, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose a creative career because it’s the only thing I could see myself doing. Creating brings me an indescribable joy. There are few things in life that make me happier than coming up with different types of content to share with the world. There’s something so fulfilling in taking an idea and bringing it to fruition. I’ve had a career that allowed me to be creative but only to a certain degree. I had to stay in the bounds of my company. But there are no limits to what I can do as a content creator and a mindset coach. I get to approach my work and my clients the way I desire and there’s no one to tell me “no.” There’s so much freedom in what I do and it makes me happy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I began my career as a content creator and it has led me to start my own business as a mindset coach. I never would have dreamed that I’d end up here but I’m so thankful for the journey. I think what sets me apart is my authenticity. I am a mental health advocate and I’m very open about my own struggles with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Through sharing my ups and downs I feel like I’ve gained the trust of my supporters. Not only can they depend on me for accurate information about mental health but they can trust me to be open and honest with them about what a mental health disorder can look like. It’s taken a lot of hard work and consistency to get where I am today. When I began my blog, AuthenticallyASB.com, in December of 2017, I had no idea that would branch off into a podcast and a coaching business. Of course there’s been tons of challenges along the way, from balancing each project to learning how to not compare my day 1 to someone’s year 1. It hasn’t been easy mastering those lessons and at times I still have to check-in with myself to make sure I’m staying on my destined path. But I’m slowly and surely becoming more confident in the offer I value and it helps to know that my supporters are actually receiving something from my content. What I want the world to know about the Audreyonna Sequale brand is that I’m here as an advocate for mental health in the Black community and I will do whatever is in my power to make sure my people are empowered to seek out the resources they need to be well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite spots to eat is Hawker’s Asian Street Fare! If you’re looking for a super delicious cheap Asian dinner Hawkers is definitely the place to go. If you plan on coming to Jacksonville, be on the lookout for great events and places like: -R&B Mostly which is a day party where multiple DJs spin the best R&B from the throwbacks to the new jams. -On Monday’s you can check out spoken word at Onyx Sports Bar! It features some of the best poets in the city. -If you’re looking for a great Sunday brunch, Jazzy’s Restaurant and Lounge has the tastiest soul food and drinks. -When the pandemic is over Wednesday night Art Walk in Downtown Jacksonville has so many vendors, creators, and unique pieces of art to consume. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shoutout to MPN Network. MPN Network is my podcast network located in Jacksonville, FL and it’s full of amazing Black creatives that have created podcasts that move the conversation forward in mental health, relationships, and more. Each individual is extremely talented and adds something unique to the network. I love the way we all collaborate easily to advance our platforms and the network. I’m grateful for each podcaster and I’m especially grateful for our founder Al Pete.
