We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tatiana, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Authenticity! I built my platform off of being myself and sharing the gift that God gave me! I am forever grateful that one day I decided singing in my room alone wasn’t enough and I posted my first singing video, I haven’t looked back since!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’d like to say that my story is unique at the age of 15 I began posting singing videos on Instagram and after a month of posting consistently, I gained 10,000 followers overnight. Fast-forward to when I graduated from high school I went off to college to pursue a degree in music education. Little did I know that after only a year and a half I would withdraw from classes and go on to pursue music full-time. An opportunity was presented to me while I was still in college to write music with a man named Nasri Atweh (Lead singer of the band MAGIC) he reached out to me and told me that he saw a really big career for me, and he believed in my talent, and he invested in my talent. now did our plan go where we thought it would go no but it was still nothing short of amazing. After four consistent years on social media, I grew up to 600,000 followers. I recorded an eight song album which later became my debut album, “The Journey”. I was invited to a songwriting camp with Leslie Odom Jr, which then turned into me, becoming a featured artist on his album. And then that opportunity turned into me vocal producing for Brandy Norwood (my idol) Christmas Album. I then created an Afrobeat remix series on my socials that led to me being invited to kids choice awards to perform and to be on the 25th anniversary nautical nonsense album with Nickelodeon. And now just two years later, I have officially reached 1 million followers on TikTok and I am currently working on a new project to enter into a new era and I am most proud of my journey because it was very hard. I have faced a lot of challenges as far as the industry not seeing me as profitable. And also just being overlooked because I don’t have the look and talent isn’t always enough in today’s day and age. The biggest lesson I have learned is that it takes time I have gotten to where I am now in 10 years of constantly being consistent on social media putting myself out there and trying to make room for myself in spaces where I wasn’t welcomed. But what I’ve learned through my challenges is to keep pushing, comparison is the thief of joy and someone else’s story will not be your story and that’s okay anything worth fighting for isn’t easy and I am glad that I will continue to push through the barriers to reach my goals and inspire others to do the same.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, if we were in my hometown of Mississippi, I would take you to a place called flamingo Landing. They have live music great food amazing drinks, and good company. But since I’ve moved to Georgia i’ve discovered a place called American deli and they can do no wrong. and if you wanna have a little fun, we will go to Rigby’s where you can bowl, skate golf, and many more things. I think the most exciting and interesting people in my life is my family, friends and my girlfriend. They always keep me entertained and laughing, even in my lowest moments.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
If it were not for my family investing in me, my girlfriend and friends investing in me I would not be this far in my career. Since I was a little girl my mom has sacrificed countless times to make sure my dreams become a reality! 5 years ago when I met my girlfriend she also began pouring into me and my goals and she is always there to push me when I feel any doubt or confusion about where I stand in the industry. Also throughout my journey I have had the pleasure of encountering friends that want only the best for me and support me through every post, event and more!
