We had the good fortune of connecting with Yaimee Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yaimee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was something within me for a long time. I wanted to have more control over my time, so i can be there for my family, make a bigger impact without limitations and do something I enjoy.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Upscale Settingz LLC is a Home service business that put customers first and believe that quality work, excellent service and trust should not be an option. Excited for the future of the business and the positive impact it will have on many lives. Definitely was not easy and I believe God has a way to make a way out of no way. The lesson I have learnt is that getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is where your greatest growth opportunities are. I gave twenty years to a major company only to lose it over a lie, however it was the best thing that happened to me, because it made me give 100% to my business and force me actually listen to God and put my trust in him.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My honest answer would be i am still learning Georgia, however, some fun places I enjoy would be going to a carribean venue to listen music and enjoy good food. I would say maybe Spice House, on a Sunday we would go to Rum punch Brunch, do alittle hiking at stone mountain, visit my parents in Augusta, and Hang out in my backyard where we would just catch up on enjoy quality time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to first give thanks and glory to God, my parents for my upbringing my kids who are my motivation, Cashflow Quadrant, Unfair Advantage by Robert Kiyosaki. And the richest man in babylon by George Clason.
