Meet Angelique Young | Owner & Nurse Practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelique Young and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angelique, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I created Evolutio Wellness because I believe true wellness is so much more than how we look — it’s how we feel, how we move through the world, and how deeply we feel seen and supported. Looking good on the outside means very little if we’re struggling on the inside. And when we feel good internally, it naturally radiates outward.
My vision was to build a place where people could experience both sides of wellness: the confidence that comes from caring for your appearance, and the peace that comes from caring for your whole self. I wanted to create a space where every person who walks through our doors feels acknowledged, valued, and understood — not rushed, not judged, not overlooked.
Evolutio Wellness was born from the belief that healing, confidence, and transformation happen when people feel genuinely seen. My goal has always been for clients to leave their visit not only looking refreshed, but feeling lighter, supported, and more connected to themselves. That is the heart of our work, and the standard my team and I hold ourselves to every day.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career has always been rooted in caring for people on a deeper level. As a nurse practitioner, I learned the clinical side of wellness, but over time I realized that what truly mattered to me was how people felt — not just physically, but emotionally. I’ve always believed that wellness is more than how we look on the outside. It’s how we feel, how we show up in our lives, and whether we feel seen and supported. That belief is what ultimately led me to create Evolutio Wellness.
My approach is deeply personal. I don’t see clients as appointments — I see them as whole people with stories, insecurities, and goals. Evolutio Wellness blends clinical expertise with genuine compassion. Clients often tell us they feel lighter and more connected to themselves after a visit, and that’s exactly the experience I wanted to create.
I’m proud that Evolutio Wellness has become a place where people feel safe, welcomed, and truly cared for. I’m excited about our growth, but even more excited about the impact we’re making on people’s confidence and overall well‑being
Not at all. There were moments of doubt, financial stress, and long nights. I overcame those challenges by staying grounded in my purpose and leaning on my support system — especially my husband, my sister, and a few close friends who encouraged me when I needed it most.
I’ve learned that your calling will always make room for you. Growth isn’t comfortable, but it’s necessary. And leadership isn’t about perfection — it’s about intention, compassion, and consistency.
Evolutio Wellness was built with heart. We’re not here just to enhance appearances — we’re here to help people feel good, feel seen, and feel whole. Everything we do is rooted in that mission.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d give them a week that shows off the best of Atlanta’s food, culture, and energy. We’d start with brunch at places like Breakfast at Barney’s or Toast on Lenox, then walk the BeltLine and explore Ponce City Market. I’d take them to Piedmont Park, the Botanical Garden, and The Battery for dinner and drinks. We’d spend a day shopping at Lenox or Atlantic Station, grab tacos at Superica or seafood at The Optimist, and maybe hike Stone Mountain for a little adventure. I’d also dedicate a day to supporting Black‑owned favorites like Slutty Vegan or Virgil’s Gullah Kitchen. And of course, I’d bring them to Evolutio Wellness for a little self‑care so they leave feeling refreshed. Atlanta has so much soul and personality — I’d want them to experience all of it.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband deserves a huge amount of credit in my story. He believed in my vision from the very beginning and supported me through every step of building Evolutio Wellness. My sister has also been one of my biggest encouragers, always reminding me of my purpose and pushing me to keep going. And I’m grateful for a few close friends who showed up for me in ways that truly mattered — offering honesty, support, and motivation when I needed it most. Evolutio Wellness may be my vision, but it was strengthened by the people who stood with me while I brought it to life.
