We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaelyn Kastle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaelyn, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued an artistic career because it’s the one thing that’s always felt natural to me. Music wasn’t just something I liked, it was how I expressed myself, how I processed life, and how I connected with people.

Coming from Bermuda, I also felt a deeper purpose behind it. I didn’t see many artists from where I’m from breaking onto a global stage, so it became bigger than just me. It became about representation, showing that our culture, our sound, and our stories deserve to be seen and heard worldwide.

I’ve dedicated my entire life to building this, aligning every decision, every sacrifice, and every opportunity toward this path. It hasn’t been easy, but that’s part of the journey. For me, this isn’t just a career, it’s who I am and what I’m meant to do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is rooted in storytelling, culture, and feeling. I make music that blends island influence with mainstream pop and R&B, creating a sound that feels both global and deeply personal. Being from Bermuda plays a huge role in that. It’s not just where I’m from, it’s in the rhythm, the energy, the confidence, and the lifestyle that naturally comes through in everything I create. What sets me apart is that I’m not trying to fit into a lane, I’m building my own by merging worlds that don’t always get put together.

What I’m most proud of is staying consistent and committed to my vision, even when the path wasn’t clear. From building a platform, to working with major producers, to creating opportunities not just for myself but for other creators through Collab Studios, everything I’ve done has been intentional. I’m excited about continuing to elevate my sound and show people that artists from places like Bermuda can compete and win on a global level.

Getting to where I am today definitely wasn’t easy. I didn’t have the same access, resources, or proximity that a lot of artists have growing up in major cities. There were real limitations, from geography to navigating immigration and building a career in a country I wasn’t born in. I’ve faced setbacks, delays, and moments where things didn’t go as planned, but I’ve always found a way to pivot, stay focused, and keep going. I learned early on that talent alone isn’t enough, you need discipline, resilience, and belief in yourself when things don’t make sense yet.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to trust my timing and not compare my journey to anyone else’s. Everything I’ve gone through has shaped my perspective, my work ethic, and my purpose. I’ve also learned the importance of building something bigger than just music. My brand is about creativity, individuality, and showing people that you can come from anywhere and still create your own lane.

What I want the world to know about me is that I’m not just an artist, I’m a builder. I’m building a sound, a brand, a platform, and a legacy that represents where I come from and where I’m going. And this is just the beginning.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, I’d take them straight to the east side of Atlanta. It’s one of my favorite parts of the city because it’s such a melting pot of culture. You have Caribbean, Afro-Latina, African, and so many other influences all blending together, and you can feel that in everything from the food to the music to the people.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
