Meet Connor Frawley | FRAWLEYWOOD – DJ / MC / Host

We had the good fortune of connecting with Connor Frawley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Connor, how do you define success?
Success takes on a lot of names in my business. That may sound cliche but there are so many pieces at play between exposure, the sale, equipment, the clients happiness, the guest enjoyment, and of course how I hold myself accountable for the quality of my sets. It is important for me to reflect on every event, normally on the way home, about what went right, what could have gone better, and what I learned. By remaining present and focused, with a big smile on my face, and the clients best interest at heart I can gladly say that I have given 100% effort to making sure the event was a success.

What should our readers know about your business?
Frawleywood is a Los Angeles-based DJ and MC company specializing in weddings and corporate events, from intimate celebrations at venues like Greystone Mansion and Calamigos Ranch to large-scale conferences at The Venetian and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

As the owner and sole operator of my DJ/MC business – FRAWLEYWOOD Inc. – what sets me apart is my customer service matched with my ability to mix. Everything until the last two hours of the night is customer service. It’s making sure clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Taking their ideas and finding a way to make them happen, while making the process smooth, and ultimately fun! When the event day comes around they feel fully confident that I am there to make their day come to life. On event day I am early, in a three piece suit when guests arrive, and am spending the whole day setting the mood and running all the sound equipment. By the time dancing starts, guests have been subconsciously enjoying the vibe I created, and, with inviting warm MCing and smooth transitions of all the hits, the dance floor quickly becomes full and stays that way!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my friend to all of my favorite places. We would start in Malibu, maybe a brunch at Calamigos Ranch or wine tasting at Cielo Farms. Then head to Beverly Hills, check out Greystone Mansion, Santa Monica for the pier and drinks at Proper Hotel, then Redondo Beach for the weather and dinner at Shade Hotel on the water. We would catch a Dodgers game, explore Culver City, and why not spend the final weekend in Las Vegas at The Venetian? It covers everything that makes Southern California and Las Vegas special to me both personally and professionally.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank the planners and clients who put their trust in me to bring their event to life. From weddings at some of Los Angeles’s most iconic venues to large-scale corporate conferences in Las Vegas, it is an honor I don’t take lightly, and I am forever appreciative for the opportunities I have been given.
