We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachael Clanin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachael, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor to any long term success in my eyes is to figure out 1. What do you count as success and 2 how do you make that happen. For me, success is having every client leave happy and having their cup filled. To me success is just the whole experience. I want the clients to feel like we are part of a family.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am most proud of my team and what the spa has grown into. The spa took a lot of hours and help from others to be where it is. Nothing is easy with any business, Learning what is worth your time and what to buy. It is all trial and error. Having an amazing team like I have has been the best part. They are the heart of the spa. I think I would say I am most proud of that. It is truly something enjoyable to go to. It doesn’t feel like a chore. Thankfully I was able to have guidance from our sister location owner, Dawn. She helped me know what was worth it and what was not.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the cloudland winery in Braselton on of my favorite spots! I also like fish tales on the lake. In downtown Buford, Aqua Terra is one of my favorite spots. I also really like the new moonshiners. The mall is always a great place to go as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give recognition to my sister, Katie, and best friend, Dee, that passed away the year I bought the spa, they were two of my cheerleaders and I miss their love and support dearly. I also want to thank my parents, my kids, my boyfriend Jake, and my best friend Anya. They have always been on my team and wouldn’t be able to do this without them! It takes a tribe and I have a amazing one.
