We had the good fortune of connecting with Destinee Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Destinee, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
The most important thing I’ve did as a parent was getting closer to God. I say this because I personally feel like my relationship with him is what covers my kids, being with them being so young they don’t know him for their self yet although my 3 year old is learning slowly.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am an upcoming hairstylist and social media influencer. I started with my husband on YouTube we now have 12 subscribers and many more to come. If we would have been consistent with it we would have been even bigger i could only imagine! I’ve started a personal channel that I’m getting ready to start posting on very soon. I’ve been doing hair since I was younger but just now taking it seriously and trying to grow and get better and better. I have faith that I will go from “can I practice this style on you? To fully booked” and also I will be across millions of screens from social media! That’s the goal Some lessons I’ve learned along the way is that consistency is the most important thing of it all. Once you stop you’re only setting yourself back! Keep going!! This is not an easy process but will be worth the wait!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A place that catches my eye is any place that has good food, drinks, and a hookah lol. That’s my type of setting.. oh and great music! I love a nice vibe

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband brother & my friend Latrice is who pushed me to do everything that I wanted/want to do. When I overthink, procrastinate or have any fear they are quick to get that out of me!
