Today we’re excited to be connecting with Melissa Williams again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Melissa , we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
Hello, my name is Melissa Williams and I have been taking photos since I could hold a camera as a child! My passion is for fashion, architecture and the outdoors. If you look at my website, you will see that on-location is my favorite to shoot, but my B.F.A is mostly in-studio work. I usually take a model, their outfit(s) and walk around a location I scouted. Depending on the style that the model wants that is how I cater for the location. I connect with the people I photograph and my hope is to pick up my camera again. I set my camera down for a while, and it has given me time to do the inner work to heal whatever was hindering my creativity. I am slowly encouraging myself that I can continue to do what I love: connecting with people and making a beautiful image.

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
I have not taken any photos in about 2.5 years. My favorite muse, a dear friend from college, has always inspired me. He has 2 new suits he would love to model for me, and I am currently looking for a location to shoot outdoors in Atlanta. I hope to get this shoot done before the end of the month, and buy a new wacom tablet to make post work more efficient. I am also volunteering to photograph a youth fitness competition: parents are able to register their children to compete and buy a few photos from me. This is a very different chapter in my life, and I have a new outlook on my creativity.

We have now arrived at one of our favorite parts of the interview – the lightning round. We’ll ask you a few quick questions to give us all some fun insights about you.
