We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenny Zacharewicz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenny, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As a mom of 12, I absolutely adore children! And I know how important it is to have a place for my children to be able to roam free and explore while I catch up with a few friends over an amazing cup of coffee! Having a 60-acre hobby farm with lots of different breeds of animals, fresh air and a good old fashioned playground inspired me to share what I love with other moms and families! Coffee, farm animals and freedom! That sounded like a pretty great business to me!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My husband and I have been married for 34 years, and after giving birth to 8 biological children, we were called to foster care. We have since adopted 4 special needs children from foster care! Our kids range in age from 32 all the way down to 1 year old. We also have 3 grandchildren. The farm has been such amazing therapy for our children, and we wanted to help other experience the joy it brings. We spent two years building our coffee business all on our own. We worked nights and weekends (and still do!) in addition to our ‘normal’ daily lives. My husband is president of a dental company and typically puts in 13+ hour days at that job, and then comes home to help with the kids and our small business. The business is completely run by family. Our kids do all the farm chores, my husband and older sons do all the building work, our son runs the coffee truck and is an amazing barista (through all his own studies). We are an extremely hard working and dedicated family, and we love that we get to do it all together!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We have a wonderful winery just a mile down the road from our home! It’s a small business just like ours, and we are so happy to have them close to us! We would definitely take family and friends there and highly recommend it! We have also been so excited to see a brand new restaurant open in our wonderful downtown area! We have some great small businesses in our downtown area, from clothing boutiques to home decor to a new, upscale doggie store! There is so much to love about our hometown!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All glory to God! He blessed us with an incredible property that we knew we needed to share! It became very clear to us early on that we wanted to be able to share with others it’s what we had been gifted with!
