Meet Rachel P. | Owner of Salt & Prepped

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel P. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rachel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Originally, I started Salt & Prepped because I felt like there was a huge gap in the desire to meal prep and eat healthy and having the time to actually do it. I knew how hard it was getting dinner on the table for busy families, like mine, and I wanted to create a solution. I wanted to provide relief to working moms who desperately wanted to have sit down family dinners and feed their families nutritious food but just didn’t have the time in the day. Quickly after moving into the market, I noticed an even bigger gap between meal delivery services and having a private chef – Salt & Prepped is a happy medium with completely customized menus, meals for the whole week and top notch nutrition.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are a nutritionally-minded, in-home, weekly private meal prep service that caters to busy professionals and their families. We are still a baby-business as we have only expanded beyond me in the past year- but we are rapidly growing as a completely booked team of six. We are experiencing daily minor growing pains but handling them as the blessing that they are.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband who cheered me on every step of the way and my ground zero clients who have been loyal and always send the best referrals.
