We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Whitman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
What I think about taking risk is, why not take that chance on your dreams? Your passion? Betting on yourself will always be number one for me. Putting myself out there in the world with my content has placed me in opportunities and places that I could have never even saw myself in.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from any other “ content creator “ is that I’m willing to do the most to get that perfect shot. Even if that means chasing my client down lol! I direct, shoot & edit for myself own content as well as others. I love to tell a story with my videos as well as my clients.
It wasn’t easy getting to where am today, it took a lot of self diagnosing. Really believing in myself, my craft and taking that chance 100% for me. That is how I got to where I am today, from betting on myself and taking that risk, blocking out all negative outcomes I was thinking that could go wrong and replacing them with “ what could go right “.

A few lessons I’ve learned along the way are to always remain teachable. Always be open to learn as much as you can, we are growing everyday and things change everyday.
Another lesson I’ve learned with creating content is to stay true to yourself. Don’t let anyone dim your light, this is your story.

I want the world to know that I’m passionate about creating content, I put my all into every single video I curate for myself and my clients. I’m just a girl from who chose to dream big. ✨

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d definitely go to Japan, Tokyo to be exact lol! We would go to paradise vintage & buy some designer pieces, definitely hitting up Sanrio for some ultimate Hello Kitty pieces ( I’ve always been obsessed with Hello Kitty) we would also find a sushi making class and make our own! We like lounges & good views so we would definitely go to Sky Lounge Stellar Garden & splurge on appetizers and different girly cocktails! Lastly, we would go to Takashi Murakami store, and grab a few key chains and things!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to Thank God first & foremost , my supporters, boyfriend, family, & friends for supporting my vision. For believing in me and growing with me even when I didn’t believe in myself, even when I didn’t see the vision on my own. The words of affirmations positivity and encouragement that they’ve shown me is unmatched. God told me, “ Taylor, take a chance on yourself for once.”

I never looked back after that confirmation from him.
