Meet Ama | Artist & Mental Health Advocate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ama and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ama, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My motivation for starting my own business stemmed from the desire to leverage the transferable skills I gained during my time in corporate America. I aimed to identify how I could apply these skills to benefit small businesses. Specifically, I wanted to determine what challenges I could address using my existing expertise to support other creatives in thriving in their careers.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I take great pride in the relationships I’ve built throughout my career. In the creative industry, 80% of our success hinges on how we connect with our peers and the influence we have in our interactions. I owe much of my professional progress to my network, as we rely on one another to truly flourish and advance in our respective fields. Whenever I’ve faced challenges in my career, I’ve turned to my colleagues for support and resources. The interpersonal skills I’ve developed along this journey have profoundly shaped my career. I want the world to understand that my brand is grounded in integrity, reflected in both the quality of my designs and the relationships I cultivate.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
