We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany M Simmons and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany M, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
The habits that helped me succeed has always been God, faith, discipline. Simmons Law & theplugslawyer brand is based on integrity, love, respect, and community, the principles I live by. To be a top female attorney, owning a law business, being an undefeated attorney (in trials) takes resilience and a grit that only comes from inside. Something that can’t be taught. Knowing that I can do all things through Christ has been a motivating factor in my success.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am known as the plugslawyer, or Tiffany M Simmons Esq. As I celebrate my “sweet 16” year as a licensed attorney I am thankful of the road that I’ve blazed! I am now most proud of my role as a philanthropist. Projected to open in Q4 of 2025 I am opening the first ever state of the Art Black Lawyer Museum. The African American lawyer museum is a state of the art tourist attraction created by attorney Tiffany M Simmons. It celebrates black lawyers and their contributions to American history.
Tourists from all over the world, we’re building the first-ever state-of-the-art Black Lawyer Museum!

Right in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, this museum will elevate the justice experience for everyone. Showcasing the gifts of the legal industry with art, history, and interactive experiences for the whole family. We’re not just building a museum; we’re building a legacy.

I want the world to know me, the brand, my story, is a testimony as to what God can do when you put him first. I didn’t come from a family of lawyers, nor did my family come from “black wealth” but God saw fit to make me a world known Attorney with a mission to help the world in and out of the courtroom. I want the world to know that I am a business woman always focusing on the positive things I can do in this world with the power earned as a licensed attorney.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend here! Yay!!!!! Quality time with loved ones and community is one of the ways I “recharge myself.” Platonic love is just as important as the love you have for your partner. I always say the funny phrase “i get you in trouble, and I can get you out!” lol so I’m sure me and the bestie would be exploring the scene and enjoying the present moments which are a gift. Use your imagination on what else we would do because “no face no case!” lol (criminal defense will always be in me!)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shout out to all of the melaninated girls who look like me and want to become a lawyer. The mission of theplugslawyer brand is to raise the level of black female attorneys from less than 2% to at least 5% by 2025. The girls that may have experienced challenges and hardships while chasing their goals I want you to know I’m rooting for you! The legal profession needs you! Let your light shine! I would also like to give credit to my parents, Joanne & Dwight; without you all it wouldn’t be a me, so THANK YOU
