Meet Anna Lonelle | Worship Artist, Author, Worship Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Lonelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anna, what makes you happy? Why?
Worship makes me happy!! Having the opportunity to set an atmosphere that glorifies God, encourages believers, and reaches lost souls brings me joy. There is nothing like knowing the power and impact of worship. Joy is the fruit of being in His presence and I am grateful that I get to facilitate worship and lead people to our creator. When I see people set free through worship, it truly makes me happy. I also love private/ personal worship moments. When it’s just me and God in my home I really get to lay it all out before the Lord and experience His presence in an intimate way; that makes me happy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe what sets me apart is that I refuse to be put in a religious box. I grew up in church and I understand the traditional expectations that are placed on women in ministry. Don’t get me wrong, I honor and respect the platform given to me and the office that I sit in as a Pastor; but I refuse to let that quench my creativity and expression. Which is why I have been called the “unicorn of praise and worship” because of my pink, purple, and sometimes blue hair; or a “concrete rose” because of my impactful testimony of tragedy and triumph. I want the world to know that there is room for them. That God is the ultimate creative! He desires to use our uniqueness for His glory. That we can be fashionable and anointed, creative and prophetic.
Some lessons I have learned on my journey is that God is a jealous God. He will take away what we try to exalt above Him! That we must keep God first. That it is even dangerous to make an idol out our roles in ministry. That we have to find satisfaction in God and God alone.
I got to where I am “professionally” by serving consistently. I put my hands to the plow and served other people and their dreams and visions. I put my all into others and when it was my time I remained humble and included God in all that I did. I truly believe that I reaped what I sowed in ministry and experienced God’s favor because I sowed into a lot of people and gave of my gifts, time, and money to others and watched it come back to me 100 fold. I am “here” because I remained faithful and served with a pure heart.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love Atlanta! If I had a friend visiting Atlanta I would first take them to breakfast at a place called “Breakfast Boys” in college park. Then we would go to Spa Land and enjoy a relaxing time getting body scrubs and foot massages. I would then take them to midtown and take them to the movies at IPIC. We would then enjoy either some crab legs from the Crab Pot in college park, or Haitian food from one of my favorite spots on the north side of atlanta.
We also have the best aquarium in the world so we can check that out and six flags in the summertime!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I absolutely positively have to shout out my mentor Psalmist Raine (Larraine McCaa) out of Chicago! She has been such a blessing to my life and ministry. She has been a source of strength and wisdom. I am grateful for her prayers, love, and guidance. She is such a gem to the body of Christ and has shifted the trajectory of worship as we know it. Her passion to raise up a generation of worship leaders that know their authority in Christ is one of a kind. She deserves all the love and honor for being a shepherd to many highly anointed and unique gifts around the world.
