Meet Leila Speller | Model & fashion model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Leila Speller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leila, why did you pursue a creative career?
Stepping out on faith and pursuing a creative career is important to me because there is no other path that gives me a fire of passion, joy, and purpose. Since I was a child, I always stood outside the box. I used to put barrettes on my hoop earrings at five years old. Didn’t care what nobody had to say. I knew I was fly. In my youth, I didn’t believe that this type of career was possible for Me because of where I was, where my family came from, and what leaders and teachers would tell us. But going on 21 getting my AA degree I realize why not me? Who can stop me but me? I flame was sparked in me I took that step with great hope my heart. I believed and still do fashion is indeed my passion in my outlet for expressing myself with the best. I do believe it is my calling in life to shine my God-given light in this career path.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a model that truly enjoys fashion and the confidence and joy it enhances in others. I genuinely have a love and care for the craft. I’m excited to one day soon be able to live off of my passion in a way that I can also give back to my family and others in my community. I’m excited for the projects I have yet to accomplish that will propel me forward. I am where I am today because of faith, sacrifice, and taking the needed risk along the way. Which honestly never stops but is part of the journey of success and fulfillment. No it was and is still not easy but it would be even worse a feeling emptiness and no true peace to not pursue my passion. I continue to overcome with faith and perseverance. Challenges are needed for knowledge and growth. Nothing is ever wasted and it all works together for good. I’m still becoming each day, I’m here to be a light of love and joy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First off Papadeaux seafood kitchen has the best seafood dishes on the metro Atlanta area.The belt line trail is a great place for walks in the city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give credit and recognition to God and my family because without them I would literally be nothing and no one. God literally keeps me gives me the strength and direction I need to press on and to my family, they truly believe in me and my aspirations and gives me the extra needed support along the way to keep going.
