We had the good fortune of connecting with Jameel Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jameel, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
The Couples Club Golf League unites couples through their shared love of golf, creating opportunities for connection and friendly competition. We aim to build a vibrant community where players of all levels can bond, learn, and thrive. By collaborating with local courses and organizations, we support the sport’s growth and positively impact the community. Our mission is to inspire love, community, and a lasting passion for golf.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has been shaped by dedication, perseverance, and the support of a strong circle of friends. Running the Couples Club Golf League (CCGL) has taught me the value of teamwork and staying focused on my vision. The journey hasn’t been easy—nothing worth achieving ever is—but overcoming challenges has been about having the right mindset and tunnel vision. I’ve learned that success comes from consistency, learning from failures, and staying relentless. What I want the world to know is that CCGL offers more than golf; it’s about building a community and creating lasting connections.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give a special acknowledgment to my family, especially my father, the CEO of BNatural Products and a passionate golf instructor, whose wisdom, support, and dedication have been a constant source of strength. I’m deeply grateful to my college brothers—Will, Chris, Robin, Zach, and Mike—, for their unwavering love and encouragement. I also want to honor my big brother, Joshua Martin, a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Coast Guard, devoted father, and loving husband, who has always been my idol and role model. Throughout my battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer, my family and friends stood by my side, providing love, support, and strength when I needed it most. I’m also incredibly thankful for the amazing team behind CCGL—Shelton Davis, Tamica Ennis, Hedy Wong, and Kayla Furlow—whose hard work and dedication continue to make our vision a reality. My family’s love and guidance have been the foundation of everything I’ve achieved, especially during the toughest moments of my life.
