We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aaron, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I truly believe this is something that I was called to do. When you’re born, you’re born with different skill sets and gifts that make you unique. Once I started to discover what my gifts were I was determined to master them. I’ve always had a creative mindset, wanting to be creative and try new things. Growing up as a musician was a big help as well. The ideas are endless, just trying new ideas and getting around the correct people to guide me in a positive direction. Im betting on myself everyday in this career field, and as long as I continue to find inspiration in the world, because we’re surrounded by it, I’ll remain in this career field.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m the owner of a barber brand company called, “ Fresh Cuts Done Daily” and have been a professional barber for 10 years now. I also own a hair care product line called, “Gifted Roots Haircare.” What I feel that separates me from others in my career field is that, I’ve sat and have had conversations with most of the top barbers and professionals in the industry. Those that others look to for guidance and inspiration, and in having the talks and lessons first hand from the “movers and shakers,” is my willingness to be teachable. No matter how good or great I am, or better I get in the craft, or the newest achievement, no matter what, I always remain teachable. You’re never too good to still be a student. Some people will get to a place of entitlement, and feel as if they don’t need to be taught anything or need guidance. Not me, no matter the case, Im consistent with remaining a student. It’s a MUST. Thankfully, I’ve surrounded myself with the proper leaders to help guide my career and I’m able to keep pushing to achieve more, and reach goals beyond my expectations. I’m proud to be a PROfessional here in Atlanta, Ga and anyone looking for professional that upholds the honor and creed of a barber, and the skill set that is nothing short of luxury then I encourage you to book with me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite spots in the city of Atlanta is a restaurant/lounge called, Rock Steady. Known for is Afro-Caribbean cuisine, and amazing vibe music lounge, that is top notch Black Excellence from start to finish. We can also explore the city and dive into the deep history that Atlanta has with the late, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with his birth home, his church and The King Center. A big staple, not only in Atlanta history but national history. From there, it’s endless options. Atlanta has so many things going on all at once, from the professional sports teams to concerts, it’s not difficult to find something exciting and adventurous to do here. A one of a kind city. But before we do anything, we must stop in my shop and get FRESH cut, and get cleaned up before we paint the town with good vibes. Lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In this new season of my life and career, I first want to give God all the credit. It is He that I owe all the credit too. And because of him, he’s blessed me with 3 key people, that have molded a new walk within my life and career. Step the Barber, for his mentorship and sharing his system to starting hair care product line. The G.O.A.T., Kenny Duncan, for his Mentorship and over flowing knowledge in the field of barbering. Pastor, Dr. Dharius Daniels, for the spiritual guidance and leadership I’ve learned from him and his book titled, “Your Purpose Is Calling.”
