We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Atlanta, Georgia, the youngest of five brothers, and raised in a single-parent home. My background is shaped by resilience, determination, and a refusal to let my circumstances define who I am or where I can go in life. Growing up in poverty without the resources or connections that others may have had, I was always taught to be self-sufficient. I started working at 12, juggling multiple jobs not because I had to, but because I felt the need to mature quickly due to my environment. At the time, I didn’t fully understand why, but looking back, I see that it was all about building discipline and independence.
Today, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Despite my tough upbringing, most people wouldn’t guess my background, and I’m grateful to say that I don’t look like where I came from. It’s made me a realist—someone who understands life deeply and genuinely.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is unique because it is created with deep intentionality. I believe that when we were placed on this earth, God made each of us distinct and different, right down to the smallest detail. No two people are the same, and that individuality is something I carry into my art. The gifts I’ve been blessed with have given me a heart full of compassion for humankind, and in today’s world, I feel that love is exactly what we need.
My work is a reflection of this love—my way of contributing to the healing and connection that we so desperately need right now. I pour my soul into every piece. What excites me most is the ability to create art that resonates with others on a deeper level, not just as something beautiful to look at, but as a source of healing, hope, and understanding.
Getting to where I am today professionally has not been easy. There have been numerous challenges along the way, but each one has taught me invaluable lessons. I’ve learned that persistence, faith, and the willingness to embrace my uniqueness are what drive me forward. I’ve also learned the importance of staying true to my vision and trusting that my art has a purpose beyond just being seen—it’s meant to be felt.
I WANT YOU TO KNOW YOU HAVE TO LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE.
What I want the world to know about me is that my art is not just about technique or aesthetics; it’s about sharing love and creating a space for others to feel seen, heard, and valued. My brand is about authenticity and heart—using the gifts I’ve been given to contribute to the greater good. I want people to walk away from my work feeling a little more hopeful, a little more connected, and a little more in tune with the love that unites us all.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my family—my mother, brothers, nieces, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, and my father—and to my friends. This is for those who genuinely care for me and love me for who I am, not for what I can do for them. It’s for those who see me as more than just what I can give, who remind me that I’m still human, and who love me unconditionally. This is for all of you. Thank you for being my support and my strength.
