Meet Landri Peden | Online Strength & Nutrition Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Landri Peden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Landri, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I had been working for someone else for years and only received a small percentage of the work that I was putting in and it became frustrating. As a strength nutrition coach, there is so much that goes into helping people achieve their goals, both physically and mentally and I have such a passion for it that the answer was clear. It was time for me to start my own business and work for myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an online strength and nutrition coach helping people all over the world achieve their goals. I am a mom military veteran, and a professional athletes. I have experienced many struggles, myself juggling life as a mother being overweight, and not knowing what to do and also feeling very alone in this world with not a lot of support, I started out with this journey and personal training doing face-to-face sessions with clients I was able to make really great connections with so many incredible people until the pandemic hit in 2020. I ended up losing my job because the gyms were the first thing to close and I felt devastated because I didn’t know how I could help my clients anymore because I couldn’t see them at I knew I needed to evolve and adapt to the current climate so that’s what brought me to the online strength and nutrition coaching realm. I started on Instagram and to try to help people keep moving because mental health was such a battle during that time and physical fitness has been what saved me from a lot of my issues with PTSD in the military , and also to provide a feeling of community, even though we were isolated at that time from there, I continue to develop my business, reaching more and more clients around the world, gaining more confidence about what I do deep diving into education going to as many seminars doing any online courses that I could possibly find to help set me apart from the rest I have worked difficult cases with clients whether it be rehabbing from a major injury or a disability also auto immune diseases, hormone and balances food intolerances eating disorders and I’ve been able to help these people get their life back. What I do isn’t just about becoming stronger or losing weight , you know physically it’s about building confidence and that mental toughness. One of the biggest rewards is having a client come to me who is discouraged and feels like they’re never gonna be able to achieve the goals that they want and within months I can get them believing in themselves, gaining confidence, gaining not only physical strength, but also that mental strength that they were lacking when they first came to me , this journey has not been easy. I’ve battled myself with being overweight, hormone balances feeling alone feeling lost like I don’t know what to do and through my personal life experiences and learning what works for me I’ve been able to implement a lot of my self practices helping others achieve incredible results , none of this has been easy, but I wouldn’t change it for the world as I believe anything worth having does not come easily. I’m very thankful for this journey. I’m very thankful that I’ve been able to help along the lives. I’ve touched and knowing that this is still growing, and there’s so much more that I can do in this world to help other people regain confidence and get their life back.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta has so many incredible places, especially for someone like me who is very active in life the first place that I would take my friend would be my gym DNA strength. It’s located in Peachtree corners. The community is phenomenal. There’s all types of athletes and people and they’re so supportive From there, I would take them to clean eat kitchen in Norcross. I absolutely love that place because I’m usually in some kind of prep for competition and they offer incredibly tasty healthy meal alternatives. They also do meal prep which I take full advantage of as a busy professional I’m able to place my order on a Tuesday and go pick it up on Sunday and have meals for the whole week that I didn’t have to prepare myself after that probably take them to one of the hiking trails. There’s so many around here. I live in the Decatur area so I usually take my dog to like Stone Mountain or Panola Shoals , so we can take in the outdoors and fresh air and enjoy a nice walk and scenery. I might also take them to the botanical Gardens that is a beautiful place to go for a walk and just be at peace as well. The scenery is phenomenal and it’s just so relaxing And I’m also church. There is a wonderful church that I go to is located in McDonough Georgia called turning point and it’s an incredible community. I think it’s very important to be a part of more than just the Fitness community because you know anything could happen like injury or something that could take me out of that so it’s very important to have and alternative and they’re so uplifting and I absolutely love going there on Sunday . It’s a great way to get ready to start my week.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this shout out to my grandfather Charles Besemer he has since passed, but he was always an amazing role model and inspiration. He taught me to work hard and never give up. He also showed so much love and compassion for his community and was so involved that it inspired me to want to be just like him. He inspired me to join the military as he was a military veteran, and he inspired me to pursue my dreams and to work hard giving back to others along the way!
