We had the good fortune of connecting with Carolyn Lowe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carolyn, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is my Faith and BOLDNESS behind my belief in the one true God that got me here. Hear me out.

My success in anything I do has been based on learning to suffer well. Knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope and faith in God who does not put us to shame. All of what I do belongs to the Lord, so when he assigns me to a task my obedience to that call is always “yes and amen”. This is a result of what people get to witness as the outcome.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
In reference to my art, the thing that I’m most proud of is how multifaceted I am. There are so many layers to my levels of talent. I’m often asked, “what is it you cannot do?”. From video modeling, fashion designing, reselling on Depop, Poshmark, and EBay, doing hair, creating engaging content, while managing motherhood, I’m most proud about embarking my relationship with Jesus Christ and this new journey of the Podcast I’ve created; titled, “Following The Call” where I share testimonials with my audience about the journey and life lessons gained from it.

I’ve excelled in many roles of my professional atmosphere within leadership. which has allowed me to build my confidence in intimate spaces with others that affords me opportunities to show up just as who I am online in the creative space.

This has NOT been easy, especially in a time where social media is the influence of everything we do in our lives even on a day to day basis. The challenges have been obedience to following the call on my life. I honestly believe that I have experienced as many hardships, strains on relationships, break ups, losses, and gains because the Lord knows I will do anything but shy away from sharing those real life experiences with my audience.

All too often, we are inspired by people who only want to share the good news. Well guess what? Life doesn’t always feel good. However, there can be good found in it. So overcoming my challenges has genuinely been sharing the grace and goodness that can be found in times where you may feel extremely low and ready to give up.

The greatest lesson I’ve had to learn along my journey, is forgiveness, putting your pride to the side, and vulnerability. Life is meant to be done with others, and if you think that life is meant to be done alone, there, you will find yourself doing it alone. That can turn very dark if isolation is not managed well. You have to first and foremost invite the creator of the universe to meet you where you are and then you will be met with so much victory on the other side of your “yes” to Jesus Christ.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand story is if God blessed me with a platform via YouTube with over 10,700 subscribers who I was leading from the guidance of reading tarot cards, a practice known as New Age and witchcraft to then chase me down and convict my heart by revealing to me that it in fact was a dark practice. Only, to then call me to use that very platform to lead people back to his kingdom. Which he has since blessed abundantly.

I knew only through my own experience God is real. So trust the call that’s been placed on your life. If you are feeling a nudge to turn away from worldly things and lifestyles that continue to lead you to sin, it’s ok. You’re not lame, but the level of discipline it requires will be tough. If I can do it and be bold, vulnerable, and honest about my struggles, so can you.

There is a community just for your voice and waiting for you to share your story. It’s been an honor to share mine. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m crying laughing as I write this lol. If I had been asked this about 3-4 years ago. I’d have a fully loaded list of to-do’s in the city. My friends know I love being at home lol I’m not a city girl anymore so do not call me when you’re ready to go party lol.

My friends, know what’s up. I’m not in the streets like I used to be lol cause I’d have an open doorway for us to every club in the city a few years ago.

However, if I were to set up an itinerary we’d definitely hit Maggiano’s since I have a discounted employee benefit there.

The belt-line has some pretty cool whole-some fun things to do in Atlanta if you enjoy working out, biking, nature walks etc.

I really love Roswell -Mills Waterfall in Sandy Springs. Such a great place to find peace and sit with your thoughts, journal etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Outside of gratitude to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ for saving me and redeeming my voice from a very dark time in my life. I’d like to thank my mother (Gwen), my son (King), and my community members of Following The Call Podcast.

My home-base team deserves so much recognition in the efforts of who I have become. They’ve seen me not only at my best, but at my absolute worst. My mom and my son have played such a pivotal part In my growth, discipline, and resilience of creating the personal brand of who C. Lowe is known to be today.
