Meet Deebando | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Deebando and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DeeBando, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I chose to pursue the career of an Artist .. because I feel my music can impact a lot of people who can’t speak how they feel. I talk about the hustle but I also like to touch bases with life & things we as people go through on the daily bases, I always said “if I thought like this or feel the way I do” then I know other people do as well.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well I can say it wasn’t easy & I still have a long way to go, you have days where you want to stop & be like “I’m tired of doing this” .. but that’s where the dedication comes in at & you have to push yourself to get it done & think about why you’re doing what you’re doing. You may have people in your ear discouraging you or they may not support you as you may like, but that don’t matter .. it’s a lot more people in the world that will support you & your dreams but if you stop you will never reach them. I learned a lot on the journey & I have a lot more to learn .. one of the most important things I learned was to NEVER GIVE UP.. & ALWAYS stay positive no matter what may be going on & also watch the company you keep. Many people envy you because you have the guts to do what they are afraid to do. I have a lot to say & I hope the world is ready to hear it, I just want them to understand that anything is possible if you believe, no matter what you may go threw if you dedicated enough & god see’s that you serious it will happen for you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was coming to visit for a week .. I would take them to the Lennox mall in Atlanta GA .. that’s one of my favorite places to go to. I like the area & the vibe there, it’s motivation for people like me who’s from a small town. I come from a small town in Mississippi called “Shelby” .. so to me everything is fun & exciting. As far as drinking .. & having a good time .. I would definitely say “Beale street” in Memphis TN.. it’s downtown Memphis .. it has a lot of restaurants & nice bars you can go too. When I want to get some to eat .. sometimes I go downtown on Beale street & go get some chicken from “Gu’s world famous fried chicken”.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout-out to my family, my mom, Mariah, my dad, my sister, my nieces & a big shout out to my friends .. MoneyCounterco , LocStretch & Tray without them I don’t think I would have started back making music. I don’t think I would have been as confident as I am without them.
