Meet A.LeSha: Creator/ Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with A.LeSha and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi A.LeSha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business was too come up with a one stop shop of all natural ingredients for the culture. Something safe enough from the men and women all the way down to the babies. So many things aren’t made geared toward our skin, and well-being so I wanted to be one of the few companies that supported our community. 

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I still work a 9-5 like everyone else. I just like to think that my 9-5 is investing in my REAL job/ passion. The Mocha Body Bar is my passion. I want the world to know that this is for us. My goal is to have a store front one day to have people in store , teaching our people about the natural herbs and processes that are out there for our benefit. I have a mother who has fibromyalgia, and there are good days and bad days. The doctors just prescribe, prescribe, and prescribe. I don’t want that for my mother’s future, or mine. I learned the majority of everything I know, through my mother… so it’s only right that I pass it on the correct way. Natural, and chemical free with herbs are the way to go. Everything we make, for you is researched and put together with love, and a purpose.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Museums and Nature. We are into art of all kinds and hiking. Exploring the world in different ways, are my go to.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out my beautiful baby girl Elise. Everything I do is for her, and for her to grow up comfortable in her own skin. My family, and friends who continue to root me on every step of the way. It’s all love and they are my biggest supporters.
