We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Watching cartoons /anime growing up gave me the idea to go into a creative career. I was amazed on how animation was created and how amazing the art style looked. I had already loved art but seeing the level of creativeness that was being produced made me inspired to want to create and continue making my work better each time. I was able to see the opportunities that were out there for an artist. I was able to see more that their is a possibility to have a career.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel what sets me apart is that I create and study different mediums of art, I create digital art, I paint / draw traditionally. I am also in the process of learning animation. I love art so I want to learn as much as I can. AI has become a part of our lives in a sense and it has become known that you can use AI to create art. I feel it is important to learn all forms of art if you plan to make it as an artist and become as educated as possible in your craft. Going to school has helped me learn in an accelerated pace versus learning on You Tube or online. Learning from other artist and constantly becoming inspired / motivated from what you can do using a creative skillset kept me going. However during the process it has not been easy at all. Choosing to create art for a career is something that alot of people want to do, because of that I knew that I needed to stand out from everyone else. I overcame challenges by staying consistent and staying focused on what I can do to improve, staying in prayer and having a good support system around me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Beltline is a great place to go because alot of various art and restaurants on the strip along the walking trail. Krog street has a line of murals painted by several different artist so if you are ever looking for inspiration go there.
I love nature so I would also recommend hiking to Tallulah Falls, Stone Mountain and Amicalola Falls, their are several state parks to visit but it is a great place to refresh your mind.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout to my family and friends for their constant support, without them I would probably have given up a long time ago. My friends hold me accountable and help motivate me along with my family so every time I doubt myself or I am down, someone is always there to help me continue forward. I also want to thank God for answering my prayers and guiding me, I do not have a mentor or anyone telling me what I should do next or help put me into the next opportunity, I used prayer and talked to god on what I wanted in my life and asked for his guidance and I listened.
