We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Pack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney, can you tell us about a book that has had a meaningful impact on you?
I have been into a lot of self-help books lately, and I just finished “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz which was a GAME changer for me. This book expands on how to live a blissful life, based on ancient Toltec wisdom that advocates freedom from self-limiting beliefs that may cause suffering and limitation in a person’s life. For me personally, I used to hold on to emotions and feelings from the past that essentially held me back from excelling. This book landed in my life right on time because it taught me how to let go, forgive, continue to love unconditionally, be present in the moment, and love ALL of myself, and because of this book, my spirit elevated to a major level of inner peace and happiness. The mantra I now practice includes the Four Agreements, “Today I will be impeccable with my word, I will not take anything personally, I will not make any assumptions, and I am going to do my best.”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Beauty.Happiness.Healing LLC started in my kitchen in Atlanta, GA in 2017. After realizing that a handful of store-bought lotions and creams were not doing the trick, (and experiencing a major hives outbreak), I then sought out different natural remedies to moisturize and improve my own skin. In the beginning, my inspiration came from studying the lack of self-care habits from her mother, and I knew that I wanted to create a platform where women can have access to all things “self-care”. • No toxins • No bullshit • No hidden ingredients • More beneficial essential oils • More ways to increase self-care awareness outside of skincare Along with creating quality skincare products, I also facilitate self-care candle-making workshops and hosts self-care retreats, teaching women about the benefits of essential oils, bringing in mental wellness professionals, and talking about affirmations, while creating a safe space for women. A lot of what I have experienced came from me just simply “putting myself out there”, and taking those high risks and chances that I would’ve never imagined. You win some, you lose some, you lose some more, you lose damn near everything, you keep going. Being raised in Detroit, Michigan taught me a lot about dedication, determination, and grit. Living in Atlanta, Georgia taught me a lot about execution, never giving up, and following through. The reason why Beauty.Happiness.Healing LLC continues to grow is because of how I’ve learned to move through challenges, bounce back, and sometimes start over if need be. Humility and gratitude are another major part of my journey and I love being a student. The truth of it all, of course my journey has not been easy but who wants that. For me, challenges equate to growth and prosperity, and they build character. I believe my past experiences really help me to keep moving forward because of the legacy I want to build for my family, and I’m always so humble and excited to share my story with others.

Above all, God deserves every bit of recognition and credit in my story. My fiance’ Ade and our son Kairo, who bring me so much joy and contentment. My close friends and family members who help to keep me grounded and remind me of what authentic relationships are. Dr. Key Hallmon of The Village Market ATL, Britteny Floyd-Mayo of Trap Yoga Bae, Lashawn Dreher of BLK Women Hustle, and Beatrice Dixon of The Honey Pot Co., who have all at some point provided light, advice, mentorship, and guidance. Whether they know this or not, they have impacted my life in a tremendous and powerful way that helped me to keep moving in my entrepreneurial + personal journey.
