We had the good fortune of connecting with Mia Casanova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mia, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Networking!! I will never not tell someone to not network, the way its brought so many amazing people and oppurtunities in my life and business is incredible! Without them I would be where I am. Each person has had a hand in helping me get to where I am.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I started Lucid Dreams I was beyond lost feeling overwhelmed with choices and options I needed to make. So I began to ask questions which thriving business owners, to me it didn’t mater if they were in the beauty industry I wanted to know how they made it work. From there I took what I learned and implemented to fit in my industry. Now there is a lot I was having to learn on the go that hurt me or set me back but I still made it work. I do bridal work and photoshoot makeup, so I thought back to how I was on my wedding day and behind the camera and added things to help the client. Something I am most excited/proud about is my Spain trip in October. I am being invited to do hair and makeup for a photoshoot in a castle. I never thought I would get this far but now that im in the process of prepping everything I want to do more travel work. Visit different countries, being able to explore and do what I live. I am living the dream.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So being located in middle Georgia and that I travel all over Georgia I have learned so much about where to go and what to do. If someone has never been to Atlanta I would do the cheesy basic things like the coca-cola museum and aquarium, take them to the vortex later in the day and enjoy some drinks. Savannah would have to be next and where I feel like we would spend most of the week, haunting ghost tours, delicious food and beaches. If you’ve never done anything with ghost we would need to Truth in evidence haunted tours. You get to use the tools and equipment while you search for ghost in Savannah’s oldest theater where the ghost like to come out and play. From there we can go to Huey’s to get a delicious Po Boy. (So far my favorite place to get them) Georgia has so many secret diamonds and gems hidden in plain sight that I feel like you could live here your whole life and still not experience them all.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My daughter, she is the main reason I started Lucid Dreams. She was a premie baby and at the time I worked in healthcare, my schedule was long hours and even longer days. I couldn’t miss her life. I made her, I was gonna enjoy life with her. And as I started stepping into the beauty world my friends and family began to pour their love into me and my business.
