Hi Latrice, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The real key to my success and our brand’s growth? It boils down to our non-stop dedication to growing, learning, and pivoting whenever it’s necessary. And let me tell you, the fuel behind this relentless drive comes from the incredible people I’m surrounded by: our leverage partners, trusted advisors, our enthusiastic teams, and of course, our invaluable clients.

I like to think of every interaction as a chance to learn something new. Whether I’m in a deep dive discussion with an advisor or just catching up with a team member, each conversation is packed with insights. This constant exchange of ideas keeps us on our toes, ready to adjust our plans and adapt to whatever comes our way.

This dynamic way of operating has transformed our brand into something that’s always evolving—never just sitting still. I am the driving force behind several ventures, each reflecting a unique facet of my professional and personal philosophy. Leading these is Thomas Law & Consulting, where we specialize in transforming entrepreneurs into effective CEOs through strategic planning and legal counsel. Our approach is tailored, recognizing that each entrepreneur’s journey is unique—this customization sets us apart in a marketplace often focused on one-size-fits-all solutions.

Additionally, I co-own Mechanical Piping Solutions with my husband, Emmett. This company, focusing on commercial plumbing installations, thrives due to our commitment to excellence and reliability, serving crucial sectors like healthcare and retail. Our growth here has been phenomenal, thanks to a clear vision and relentless pursuit of quality.

Our latest endeavor, beem Light Sauna Atlanta Glenwood, brings wellness to the forefront, offering a sanctuary for health through innovative light therapy. This venture epitomizes our belief in holistic well-being, contributing significantly to the community’s health.

The journey to where I am today was far from easy. Each business presented its own set of challenges, from navigating complex legal landscapes to ensuring high operational standards in plumbing installations. The road was often fraught with obstacles that required not just hard work but strategic thinking and adaptability.

Overcoming these challenges demanded resilience and a willingness to learn continuously. Every setback was a lesson in disguise, teaching us the importance of perseverance, the value of listening to our customers and team, and the effectiveness of adaptive strategies.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the power of a supportive network. Collaboration and mutual support from partners like Emmett have been crucial. Understanding that you don’t have to go at it alone can be a game changer.

What I want the world to know about our brands is that they are more than just businesses. They are the embodiment of a commitment to improvement, community contribution, and personal growth. Each venture is a chapter in a larger story of passion and perseverance, aiming not just to succeed commercially but to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Day 1: Welcome Dinner at Hal’s Steakhouse We’d kick off the week with dinner at Hal’s Steakhouse. Known for its exceptional steaks and vibrant atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to dive into some culinary delights while catching up.

Day 2: A Night at the Fox Theatre
What better way to spend an evening than enjoying a show at the iconic Fox Theatre? Whether it’s a Broadway play, a musical, or a live concert, the stunning architecture and rich history of the Fox make any event here a memorable experience.

Day 3: Relaxing Spa Day and Wine Tasting at Chateau Elan
Mid-week calls for some relaxation, so we’d head to Chateau Elan for a spa day followed by wine tasting. This winery and resort is not just about indulgent treatments and fine wines; the beautiful vineyard landscapes are a perfect backdrop for a day of pampering and leisure.

Day 4: Spoken Word at Apache Cafe
For a dose of culture and creativity, we’d visit Apache Cafe. This venue is famous for its intimate atmosphere and vibrant spoken word performances, providing a profound and entertaining insight into the local art scene.

Day 5: Fun and Music at Kat’s Cafe
As the week winds down, we’d head to Kat’s Cafe. This cozy spot is great for live music and a laid-back vibe. It’s the ideal place to unwind, enjoy some tunes, and reflect on the week’s adventures.

Day 6: Explore Local Markets and Parks
We’d take it easy, strolling through some local markets like Glenwood Park and Krog Street Market to pick up unique gifts and treats. A leisurely walk in one of the beautiful city parks would also be on the agenda, providing a peaceful retreat from the bustling city life.

Day 7: Farewell Brunch
To wrap up the visit, we’d enjoy a leisurely brunch at a local favorite, Breakfast Boys, offering a chance to savor some delicious food and mimosas while reminiscing about the week’s experiences.

Absolutely, I’d love to give a huge shoutout to my husband, Emmett. He’s been my rock from the very beginning of our journey together, not just in life but in every business venture we’ve embarked on. Emmett’s own business, Mechanical Piping Solutions, was already thriving when we met. But together, we’ve managed to take it to new heights, doubling its revenue year after year through our collaborative efforts.

When I decided to start my own venture, Thomas Law and Consulting, Emmett was right there, offering not just moral support but also practical help, infusing the business with his ideas and providing financial backing. His belief in my vision made all the difference, turning what seemed like a daunting endeavor into a successful reality.

Most recently, we opened our first joint business venture, Beem Light Sauna in Atlanta’s Glenwood area. His continual support, insightful perspectives, and constant encouragement have perfectly complemented my vision, providing a stable foundation for all our creative ideas to flourish.

Emmett’s role in my life and our businesses has been nothing short of foundational. His consistent presence and balanced approach have been instrumental in not just my professional success but in nurturing our personal relationship as well.
