Meet Mark Kueffner | Film Composer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mark Kueffner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mark, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Becoming a successful film scorer requires more than just proficiency and hard work. Building professional relationships and establishing a strong foothold in the industry takes years of dedication.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a lifelong musician, spending most of my early years gigging around and in Los Angeles, California. My interest in creating original music and recording began in the early 1990s. Since then, I have had several recording studios, contributed to albums, and finally moved to film scoring.
The biggest lesson that I learned along the way is to stay the course, do not let setbacks and frustrations keep you from your vision.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend were to visit me, I would bring him/her up to Bent Tree, Georgia, where I live. The mountain environment is beautiful and peaceful.
There are nice little restaurants in the Jasper and Ellijay areas. Hiking and kayaking are just a couple of activities here.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
