Meet Juan Mena | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Juan Mena and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Juan, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want to be remembered for being a pillar to my community, someone who continuously helped those in need and provided resources. I hope to one day build tech centers and libraries in my neighborhood, or maybe just one center where the youth can have a creative outlet whether they’re singers, painters, love cameras or video editing, rapping, anything you can name.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
what I am most proud of or excited about is how I can help change the lives of the many people around me, whether by providing guidance or knowledge. How I got to where I am today business wise was just grinding it out, day by day. it was not easy with being told I wont be able to do it or reminded of the obstacles in my way. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is, it is that simple. once you get to work and keep going map out a plan you just need to execute. I want the world to know OnlyUp is coming, we are here to take the sports world by storm. OnlyUp is a mindset, getting better every day.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spot in the city is Domino Park, Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY. I like to go there either at night or sunset to decompress, helps me to relax sitting by the water. Other places include the basketball gym my basketball players practice at. The balance between work and social life is leaning towards work makes it hard for me to explore new potential favorite hang out spots.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
i want to shoutout a friend and business partner who has been mentoring children for the better part of 10+ years. his name is Steven Ciego and his email is stevenciego94@gmail.com
